Final copies had to be in ink. You wouldn’t have dared to hand something in written in pencil.
On his way out the door is NOT the time for that lecture. What’s he supposed to do? Stand Martha up? At 13, he probably shouldn’t be dating in the first place, but given that he is, it should be handled differently. And as for the comment about birth control, I don’t think that had anything to do with Elly being pregnant. I think it was a snide comment about the lecture she was giving him about relationships.
If they are already more than 45 minutes behind for a 10:00 appointment, there is a very good chance the doctor was not there on time. This is not acceptable unless he was delivering a baby or was involved in some type of emergency at the hospital. If this were the case, each patient should have been informed when they arrived so they could choose to wait or reschedule.
As a nurse who has worked a lot in the ER, We don’t cut clothing off just for the fun of it. We try to undress people in the least traumatic way possible. True, if you’re bleeding badly, we’ll cut off what we have to to get to the cause, but seldom does that involve under ware unless you’re wearing long johns.
No need for carpet cleaner if you let it dry before you get the vacuum. The grass must have been awfully wet when he cut it, otherwise it wouldn’t track in like that.
I wonder just how sanitary those reusable bags are. Some of them I see, I hope the clerks could wash their hands before they handle my stuff. And as for paper bags, they carry bugs, so if you don’t get rid of them as soon as you get them home, you’ve invited unwanted visitors.
Don’t blame Mom for the D. I don’t know why people have the idea that parents should be involved in homework. That should only be for what they didn’t have time for in school, not extra work that involves parents (unless it is for extra credit). If parents wanted to teach their kids at home, they should home school. They send them to school to learn. Maybe Val should have a talk with the teacher early on and share her expectations.
Glad someone finally brought up creation. However God created the heavens and the earth, then the sun, etc. Go read the first chapter of Genesis.
Got you all beat. We’re coming up on 57 years next March.
No he’s not, if that’s the way Luddy likes to be held. I have a very large cat who prefers to be held like that.
