Being rich doesn’t make you happy. But being poor doesn’t make you happy either. I’d rather have the difficulties associated with “plenty of options” than the ones associated with “plenty of troubles”.

Being rich doesn’t guarantee happiness.

Some people are determined to screw up their lives no matter how well off they are.

Being rich protects you from freaking out when someone tells you that it will cost $1,000 to fix something.

Money can’t buy you happiness but with enough income you can rent it!

i’ve got sloth down to a science and not to blow my own horn or anything, but i’m pretty good at lust and gluttony, too…

the other ones, not so much…

Today’s “Lay Lines” makes a good case for the successful exploitation of sloth.

The key is to be both rich AND slothfull.

Money can’t buy me happiness, but it can buy me things that will make me happy.

Good research has clearly shown that money, in reasonable quantity, can indeed buy happiness if and when it’s used to pay someone else to do those things that one does not enjoy doing one’s self.

When John D. Rockefeller, at the time the richest man in the world, was asked, “How much money is enough money?” he replied, “Just a little bit more.”

How do we define “rich”? On a global scale, an income of $32,400 per year puts a person in the top 1% of the richest people in the world, but that’s not considered rich in the US or western Europe.

But you have to have money to live a life of sloth (or parents with money and willingness to put up with you).

Being rich means you DON’T have to work hard. That’s the whole point of getting rich.

If Bernie gets elected the great majority will become sloths.

If money didn’t exist, the world would probably be a less greedy place.

Broke worries vs Rich worries…I’ve tried the broke path, I won’t mind trying the other for comparison.

Sometimes people work so hard to make things easier.

All I want is a chance to prove money can’t buy happiness.

My wife and I were not rich, struggling, and relatively happy. Then my wife died and left a huge life insurance award. Now I am rich and very unhappy.

Then why do so many rich people commit suicide?

It would be nice to have enough to pay the basic bills.

I’m rich. And, I’m happy. Does that make me an oxymoron?

Money can buy happiness if you use it to help others and put it towards efforts to try to make the world a better place.

But, fresh high potency medical ganja is delivered to your door nightly with 5-course dinners for all.

You can work hard for other things,many of which far exceed the value of money,Pig. Sloth is never validated.

The Dow has been down over 1000 today (at one point), so maybe some rich folk aren’t happy.

When someone tells you the they got rich through hard work, ask them, “whose?”

I don’t want to be rich. I just want to be wealthy enough to pay my bills and put a $100 away every month. I don’t want a mansion, I just want a small two-bedroom house. I don’t care for big cities, a small one works just as well. People try too hard for grand and opulent they don’t realize how good small and simple really is.

Being rich may not make you happy, Pig, but it will make it easier for you to deal with the unhappiness of life.
