It took some years before they realized that electroshock therapy worked better when it was applied higher up.

    Electricity

    To the Poor

    GRATIS.

    From 8 till 10

    in the Morn

Is what the sign says. So he’s not charging for the discharge…

Sneaky way to do research without paying the subjects…

Young man, your fears about this process are groundless,..

Neat painting. I like the Leyden jars on in the box on the floor.

I once read an essay that translated certain medical terminology into their true meanings. “This may sting a little” means “I’m about to hit you with a cattle-prod.” “You may feel a little pressure” means “You’re about to be sat upon by an elephant.” “You may have some slight discomfort” means “Sitting in an electric chair will feel like a La-Z-Boy.”

all have info, or links that point to more info, about this artist (again, the askart.com can be read in full for free on Fridays), perhaps in addition to what’s pointed to by the title URL. This is the first work by him used here.

Again, a larger strip image is shown by (⌘- or Ctrl-) clicking the image in Mr. Melcher’s MASTERPIECE #2378 (February 5, 2020) blog entry, accessible by the Check out the blog! box after the last comment
