No need to touch your TV remote for WE control what you hear and see … Doom and Gloom forever ! As the Monty lads said …..Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life !
Our daisies aren’t up yet. Our tulips and daffodils are barely up, but aren’t showing flower buds yet. We could go out and stand in the remaining (cruddy) snow, but it wouldn’t be quite the same as standing in the daisies.
yep! cancelled newspaper, wont watch TV news and may listen to CBC radio news once in the day…….i figure if anything important happens that i need to know about, someone will knock on my door :-))

Hello Sweetie about 5 years ago
Turned off the news readers several years ago in favor of print media. I am calmer and better informed. Your mileage may vary.
juncarlo about 5 years ago
It’s a good advice. There are things that are beyond our reach and our concerns.

Dang! My daisies are still dormant.

I’ve only followed half that advice (not watching the news). Maybe that makes me half smart?
Kind&Kinder about 5 years ago
Oh, Pig. These days are just too rough on you. Got room in the daisies for me?
SonicFan91 about 5 years ago
He knows what life is about. Now if he would only play Super Mario
c001 about 5 years ago
Sorry, I don’t get it. Is “to stand in the daisies” some English idiom?
Troglodyte about 5 years ago
Okay, I guess, as long as you aren’t pushing up the daisies!

If I turned off the news I still would get it because my wife always watches Colbert. (Conan for me!)
WaitingMan about 5 years ago
I turn on the news this morning. 49 dead at a shooting in two mosques in New Zealand. And so it goes.
mommadillo about 5 years ago
But Pig isn’t smart . . .
Masterskrain Premium Member about 5 years ago
This is either really good timing, or bad timing for this strip, depending on your point of view, considering what happened in New Zealand…
And yes, I know that it’s PURELY coincidental…

The news is the same as it ever was. Only now we have all the 24/7 “news” aka Opinion networks who are in desperate need of something to fill air time
betsypoe about 5 years ago
Thanks Stephan I think I’ll do just that. I hope you are too.
