When he discovered the open door, I assumed it was a dumbwaiter. Now, that can’t be right, so what is/was this passageway?

So there isn’t a third apartment in the Big Pink House. Not what I was expecting from Georgia’s occasional hints about what may be on the attic level! We already know one entity who’s hanging around up here from a preview panel on Facebook, now to find out who all else may be hanging around, and just who Puck can actually see…

(Note: In the original Halloween story that can only be viewed online, it was shown that the cats can see spirits, but not ALL spirits. Part of the fun came from the Boys and the Ceiling Cats wondering what was going on when someone was interacting with someone who happened to have no body. And the (adult) People didn’t see a thing.)

Ok, now I’m not so sure it is a ghost mouse.

He did the climb with just three legs. Puck is one determined kit.

How will Puck know what to investigate first? So many options for our top-notch journalist to explore :)

Oh Pucky, what treasures will you uncover in this magical place? I’m so excited to find out!

I like this… it’s like a combination BCN, ghost story, and video game (I keep wanting to scroll over the chest to activate the ‘bonus’, or see what’s in the boxes on the shelves…

GASP! It’s the attic and a treasure chest! (to someone who adores antiques, an old abandoned trunk is always a treasure chest)

<And that was when the “accessories” came out.>

Down from the rafters came cat toys of all shapes and sizes. On chains, ropes, even hemp infused with more catnip. Feathers, stuffed mice, chirping mechanical birds- everything designed to agitate and excite. “Is this what the email meant by ‘enticing entertainment?’” Tre-C asked “And more, Kitten. Look at the main stage- look around the tree…” From unseen trap doors surrounding the big cat tree in the center of the room, came the “Dancing Toms”. Young, toned, one might even say alluring, if one was a cat. The crowd, almost entirely female, came alive. That was when Megan noticed the really insidious nature of the Tom’s dancing behavior, and possibly Mr. Nibbles’ entire plan. But before she could say anything, Tre-C beat her to the punch. “Is that a ‘card reader’ that just got set down on the dance floor?”

It’s the attic! They’re doomed!

It IS the attic! This is gonna be fun!

I wonder if the ceiling cats will hear him up there?

I just read the 2015 Halloween special. The word “special” does not quite do it justice. Her artwork is wondeerful- and I’m not just talking about our boys- but the Woman can write! (sources say a certain “unnamed author” is more than a smidge envious). I was literally in tears by the ending…

I can hear Puck chanting in his head, as he climbs…“Three paws up, don’t give up…three paws up, don’t give up!”

I’m loving the new Halloween storyline. Thanks Georgia!

For a cat, an old attic with warm sunlight and things to sniff and explore….is heaven. Our Pucky has a lot to look into. What’s in those Steamer trunks and boxes? What is under the sheets…or are they sleeping ghosts…wooo spooky? The Ghost Mouse is following Pucky like a spirit animal and those birds…where did they come from?

So many questions…such good art…BCN never disappoints.

Looks like the closed trunk has the initial C on it. I wonder if that will come into play…

Look at the last panel of the original Halloween Special. I think Pucky is in the attic on the right side of the house. The roof looks to have the correct pitch. Also, I can’t see that final without getting choked up every time.

And I thought Lupin was the only adventure cat around here!

My thrifty Canadian mind is immediately asking where the insulation is and wondering how much it costs to heat a house with an uninsulated attic.

I see a box full of magic.

Remembering how Lupin met Sir Figaro in the laundry room I’m wondering if the white in the open trunk is Tillie and that’s her new notebook in the lid.

I’ve never seen a dress form quite that shape before, so is it really a dress form??

Puck is very ‘Wow’ today. By why not, with all the Discoveries?

Good morning and happy Hump Day, orbsters and orbabies. I foresee a wonderful adventure in the attic for Puck. However, a question comes to mind: How the heck is he going to get down to alert the others to the wonders up there?

On a more sober note, I received this message concerning Pam (ppyfss) yesterday evening. Unfortunately, I think we must all prepare for the worst: “I’ll get back to you later. But we have to say good bye to Pam. There is not anything more that they can do. On my way to the hospital now”

Is that a ghost armadillo?

Is anybody else thinking who the other ghosts are?

A quiet place just completely full of kitteh magic and surprises!!!

Yay! I was right! There IS a double-box dumbwaiter! This is gonna be GOOD!

We all know who won’t believe Puck about his adventures and what’s there. But we do.

Pam (ppyfss) is being taken off life support and put on “comfort care” this morning. She has the superbug MRSA in her system, along with E-coli. Her lungs are affected. I’ll let you all know when I have further news.

Uh, I hope none of those ghosts get “upset” that Puck is violating their sanctum . . .

My neighbor has a three legged cat. He climbs up just fine, Down? Not so fine.

I bet the sun only shines once a year -just the right way- into that attic window to send stray sunbeams down the dumbwaiter shaft. :)

I do SO love the Woman’s line in the last panel of Part 4 of the 2015 Halloween Special. I won’t spoiler it, for I’m sure many here haven’t yet read that special. My suggestion—well, really it’s Georgia’s suggestion—READ the 2015 Halloween Special. The current story arc has some tie-ins, so you’ll enjoy this more having read t’other. Besides—the other is wonderful.

Hmmmm…I’m not sure all this is real. I have no trouble believing in little black cats who wear climbing gear, and in ghost cats and ghost mice, but I’ve never seen an attic this neat and clean and tidy. Georgia, you wouldn’t be making some of this up this up would you? (Just askin’) ;o)
