Huh? Not seeing anything passive-aggressive in Jack.

Luann did say she too likes to play in the mud.

So Jack & Knute are good at cleaning. Evidently the best way to get a girlfriend.

Okay, what gives? When we first met Jack he was a Neanderthal cave jock pestering Luann for a date. Who have him the personality transplant?

Not only the Dog Whistler but he’s a Dog Cleaner too! And employed to boot! Hope this is the start of something between them for real.

Dog whisperer, nude model and a working man. How unpredictable. What surprise awaits us, I wonder.

Having been thoroughly cleaned, Puddles will celebrate by going back and playing in the mud!

He works for a leaning company?

Luann is resisting her natural Pherohormone response to Jack; men can sense these things!

I like Jack – he appears genuine. No airs about him.

Why does she keep switching sides on the bench?

I don’t really care about a romantic relationship between these two. That meaning I dont think that a romantic relationship is necessary. I do like Jack. He just easy to get along with.

All attraction for Luann, so far he is running the bases pretty good. Once people take off the jock filter, he is a very interesting young man, whom Luann might find as her next love interest, and likewise. It is obvious he really likes Luann, and the feeling is mutual. The way he was portrayed in Mr. Zebo’s art class might be misinterpreted by some people as a big, dumb jock. That is unwarranted generally, but particularly with respect to Jack, who has a nerdy fellow student (can’t recall his name here at 4:52 am, can’t sleep my leg is hurting like hell) as a friend. There is a lot there behind those muscles.

I like Jack, he seems to be a “what you see is what you get” type of guy.

I like Jack more and more. Even Luann seem to like him progressively. Puddles already love him.

Aw, man…. For a brief moment, I thought the shirt said “Learning” not “Cleaning” (couldn’t see the “C” from the mud). I was hoping that Jack was involved in the “education” part of it.

Still, it’s good to see Jack and Lu get to know each other more. Will it matter to her where Jack works and what he does there (which we still don’t know… theoretically, he could be CFO)! :D

Anyway, carry on Jack & Lu…. or are we calling them,,, “Lujack” (i.e. the old “Lo-Jack” theft detection system for those who don’t recall it)… :D

As someone who works in the Leaning.. I mean… Cleaning business myself, I start to like this guy.

Perhaps his dad is Dr. Handel, the handsome veterinarian. They sometimes offer pet wash and groom services.

Jack is: handsome, a safe date (not an octopus), adventurous, fun-loving, good with dogs, has a steady job plus a side job and semi-reliable transportation.

So when do we find out he bats for the other team?

This is the first time in a long time I’ve seen the likes and comments so close. Usually the comments overpower the likes.

That Jack! He just keeps getting better and better. As for him batting for that other team—forget it! We are keeping THIS one. He’s on reserve for Luann. Haha!At least that’s my hope.

I am really enjoying the interplay between Jack and Luann. Very nice.

In many ways, I am hoping this does not develop into a heavy duty romance…. the “drama” of the romance arcs have not been the most enjoyable…. whereas this gentle friendship…. keeps getting more and more enjoyable. But…. if romance develops between these two… I am hoping that Greg decides to keep it light and breezy…. and forgo the “drama” for this couple. We have enough of that with Gunther.

Wonder if Jack is feasting his eyes on Luann’s legs – her best feature.

Way to rub Luann’s puppy!

Let’s see here, now:

1) Jack’s a Nice Guy.

2) He likes Dogs.

3) He knows how to clean (unlike Les).

4) He’s a gentleman around Luann.

5) He has a Job.

6) He’s physically fit.

7) He has stubble but NOBODY complains about it, the way “they” do with Gunther.

8) He has a working vehicle.

9) Jack is not afraid to show his vulnerable side (like not being able to change a tire) to Luann.

10) He’s Breathing.

Congratulations, Jack! You Sir, are My second favorite Male Character in the Strip.

Now, quit Pussy-Footing around and ask Luann out. Come On, Come On, We’re waiting. Besides, It’ll be August Soon, and We’ll have to be getting to “Torture Gunther in Vegas Week.”

any guesses where Greg’s going to take us with this? What will be Saturday’s strip?

I wonder if the T shirt is from the work he does, A++ Cleaning? Dog grooming would be a good job for Jack while he’s in college.

Someone said last week that Jack was a temporary character, much as many of us hope Al will be. (I hope so, too)

To me, he’s a bit of a too good to be true character (even though he likes dogs, which is a minus for me).

But who knows? GnK may read these comments after all and keep him around by popular demand!

Jack’s only flaw so far has been his bowling skill. That can be improved or avoided.

It takes more character to do well at a job you don’t like than at one you do.

OK, Luann – it is now time to reciprocate by taking your shirt to wipe the mud off Jack.

Having a hard time buying the Jack and Luann as a couple.

So far, this is a pretty low intensity relationship…..a pair of 25 watt bulbs, which is okay if their young hormones don’t turn up the dimmer switch to a hot 150 watt level. And, this time, I’d like Luann to be the aggressive one. Knock that boy down and make a man out of him.

Yea for Go Comics! I saw the strip this morning in our paper and couldn’t decipher what was on Jack’s shirt.

I bet his father owns a janitorial service. Somehow, I can’t picture Jack cleaning toilets.

Something weird is going on here. Jack would be perfect. He would stay home and take care of the kids, clean, and cook, while Luann taught children in school.

I see Max went back to sleep. His moment of jealousy has subsided. I like Jack in the 2nd panel, intent on giving Puddles a rub down; conversation seems secondary. I don’t know what Jack plans to major in but I hope he ends up in some aspect of animal care.

The dog is clean, but the clothes are dirty.

Is Jack too perfect? —I don’t think so; why did he have such a small tee-shirt in his bag? It wouldn’t fit him at all. It is convenient as a doggy-wipe, though….

And Luann appears impressed!
