I once had packages sent to me in Moline (MLI) misdirected to Kansas City (MCI).

KANSAS CITY!?!?!? They got some crazy little women there.

This I can identify with. Valentines Day Candy came yesterday. One thing for sure is it wasn’t melted from the heat.

Why shouldn’t your package go to Kansas City if it wants to? Isn’t the US supposed to be the land of freedom and all that stuff?

I received a package 2 weeks ago that came to the post office here and the next day it was up in Maryland. That’s why they call it Snail Mail !!!

I had a package go from SoCal, to Salt Lake City, to Seattle, to Sacramento, to Fullerton. It started less than 10 miles from my house and traveled over 2000 miles.

Was Washington actually left-handed?

Pick up some rib’s from Bryant’s while you are there. And sauce! And brisket from Jack Stack.

What I think is odd is that it takes Canada Post three weeks to get a parcel or letter from Toronto to Kitchener Ontario (110 kilometers), but it takes Amazon one day to get the parcel from Toronto to Vancouver (3,360 kilometers).

I purchased it at Fort Necessity.

I once ordered an item for my wife’s birthday from a company in my state. The promised two-day delivery took more than two weeks. Using the tracking app I watched the package go from my state to another state as far as you can get and still be in the lower 48 states. It then meandered back to my state and then my home… one day after my wife’s birthday.

the more things change, etc….. , to add that the first Black character I have see in this comic is the one then as now still carrying the burden of ’ the white man’s’folly

KC must be a major hub. My mail to Columbia Missouri (from IN) goes to KC before coming back to CoMO. ??

why wasn’t Presidents Day today instead of last Monday?

one of my wife’s friends insists that today is a national holiday, so all Govt offices will be closed. I keep telling her the day was changed, that 2/22 is not a holiday. But she, being 77yo and set in her ways, refuses to believe me.

I flew to California once for vacation, but my luggage ended up in Hawaii.

My luggage had a better vacation than I did.

I’m a gonna get me some…

My husband once caught a cold from GW – no really. We are reenactors and he and GW at Colonial Williamsburg (now the older version of GW) are friends – and GW had a cold, husband caught it. Back then if one wanted the quality of London made items – as the upper class did, one HAD to order them. (I will not go into how the financial situation pushed people to order from and sell to the mother country.)

We rarely order anything as something ALWAYS goes wrong – items have been NEEDED and not available elsewhere. This past December he decided to order gifts for his 2 nieces – 11 and 19 for delivery to their mom for Xmas. They were ordered the first week in December for one week delivery. In addition to getting stuck for delivery charges as the items totaled more than minimum but were shipping from two places, his younger niece’s gift arrived a week after Christmas – the older one might have understood, the younger one is rather babyish and did not.

We have had wrong items, damaged items, items not as represented, orders canceled by the sender, items charged at incorrect prices, items not show up, etc. In one case it cost us more in non refundable shipping to us and back to the sender as the sender was at the opposite end of Canada from where we are in the US, when the RV propane detector – which not only was listed as such, but when called was told it definitely was same, was the marine version – which would not work correctly in the RV and we could have bought locally, so we had to ship it back.

Not sure why anyone voluntarily buys anything online or otherwise by order – we avoid it like a (pardon me) plague.
