   Thank you. Skipper was a small cat but spunky! When I first saw her, she was about 6 weeks old and was hanging halfway up the front door of the cage she was in at the Humane Society trying to fgure out how to escape. I took one look at that little tiger face of hers and knew she was the one. At 18 1/2 she’s lived the longest of any pet I’ve had and ironically she’s had the most health issues of any pet I’ve had.

   We had to put our precious little Skipper to sleep this morning. She was 18 1/2 yrs old and we had adopted her when she was about 6 weeks. Since the beginning of the year she has been slowly fading. We had hoped to avoid having to make this decision ourselves but we relunctantly decided that now was the time. This is the hardest part of bringing these wonderful little creatures into your life and your heart.

   I haven’t learned how to post pictures here yet. Could I send someone a picture of her that they could post?

   I too am just now catching up on several days worth of TC. I’m so sorry for the loss of your brother. I’ll be saying a prayer for you and your family.

   I saw it. It’s amazing that the kittens knew there would be help for them out on that boat – or they were just so desperate that they would endeavor to swim that distance!

   I read TC during my dinner break at work so this is probably a late posting but I wanted to say that I love the pictures everyone posts of their fur babies past & present and the stories they tell! I’ve also learned so much. I knew very little about fostering until I started reading QOA’s posts and I’m very impressed by what she’s doing. I also had to look up “voles” – I had never heard of them before! Earler I had to look up the word “moggie” since I had no idea what that was either! Now if I could only learn to post pics. I’m not very computer literate either but I’d like to share pics of my 2 girls -moggies that is, LOL!.

    I live in Daytona (World’s Most Famous) Beach. We have 20 miles of beautiful beach which is where cars used to race until the Speedway was built. Around here, the “West Coast” means somewhere totally different – it can get a little confusing at times. I loved the Salad Cat and the pure white “Belly Rub” cat looks exactly like my Snowbear (except her eyes are the same color). And I’d like to order that pop-up book!
