   A small historical correction- the Act Prohibiting the Importation of Slaves of 1807 went into effect in the USA in 1808, not 1865.

   Now we’ll have to check Pearls Before Swine to see how Pastis responds. The alliterative tongue twister was enough to elicit a response, but putting the hat on backwards demands it.

   Actually methylene blue tablets are the reason the trait (methemoglobinemia) has disappeared in Perry County. Blue skin can limit your choice of potential mates. Methylene blue tablets alleviated the condition and with normal skin color outbreeding resulted and the trait disappeared in the area.

   Actually the Flint water problem is the result of local, state, and federal government failure. The General Motors plant went to a different water source in October 2014. Detroit offered Flint a deal to return to using their water in January 2015 but Flint officials refused saying their water was safe to use.
