Nice of Bets to make her point for her. I would like to see all this lead to Tiff getting serious about school and leaving the loser chicks in the dust.

Somehow I doubt Tiff will actually move back home. I think her suitemates will decide to give Stef the boot and find someone else to replace her. Come to think of it – who invited Stef on as a suitemate? Definitely not Tiff unless Bets and Dez invited both just because they were roomies in a regular room? Did they misinterpret that they were friends and got along and invited them on as suitemates? Well, now they know and just might give Stef her eviction paper.

In a real-life 20-year-old’s life, drama like this would be all-consuming. So from these kids’s perspective OF COURSE this story line must be continued. It’s us old folks who get impatient and want to rush past the unfolding drama.

Bets is still immersed in her fun mode, but it’s my guess that she will turn the story around and Tiff will remain at school. Stef needs to get the message from someone – and Bets is not shy. Good that we have a few days to see how this gets done.

One narcissist is bad enough, but two? Time to pack the bags.

Tiffany has lost all hope. She’s disappointed with dorm life and sees no help from her roommates. This is a difficult wound to heal. At least Dez seems to be sad and Bets… I hope she will understand, put that phone away and try to stop her.

Real life college isn’t like this strip. If there were 4 women in a room in a 2022 era dorm then one of them would be seriously obese, statistically that a near certanty. Also, there are no tattoos, piercings, or dyed hair, like the color purple. Would not a trans student be part of this group?

Off Topic: I need some advice. I INTENDED to binge the entire archive, but the early stuff is mostly just one off gags. Where’s a good place to start reading the strip when it starts to become more arc based? Gets some of that good teen drama baked in? Well okay good to “please stop doing that” teen drama, I know what strip i’m in. Even for a turbo nerd like me binging 35 years of strip to get more context on the various side characters past and present is a lot (Though shockingly most showed up fairly early)

I predict, with trepidation, that Tiffany will either not leave or will realize that loneliness is not an option she will enjoy, realizing that living with and adjusting to social intercourse (hold up you dirty old men here, this is a social and cultural reference only) with even obnoxious people, Okay Stef, Bets, or even Dez could be obnoxious depending on who’s point of view it is, but only Greta Garbo can credibly say “I vant to be alone.”

Dez could be more supportive of Tiffany instead of immediately blabbing the news to Ms. Get-the-Vid-Out-Now. Tiff does need to find some friends who treat her better. If she can.

Because this arc continues, I fear that We’ll have a week of Dez and Bets attempting to talk Tiff out of moving back to manse.

Or WORSE Kippie-po sneaking back to personally apologize to Tiff for Stef being a twit. This will send the wrong signals to Tiff who’ll think that Kip is “interested” in her.

Either way, NO Tiffany moving back home, which is both sad and illogical.

But the good news is the term the Hall A Gang has stuck.

Obviously Stef and Kip have outgrown dorm life; if they want to ….well you know…like monkey’s…they need more privacy that a a strung up blanket. Time to move off campus into an apartment or a shared housing arrangement with their own bedroom. And don’t tell me its a matter of finaces, dorms life isn’t cheap either.

Honestly Dez is just as insufferable in her own way as Bets and Stef are. If I’m upset I don’t need someone constantly trying to calm me down and show “inner peace.” It’s perfectly natural to have emotions regarding the world around me, and don’t need someone trying to invalidate them. It’d help if they got upset once in a while too, to show me that I’m not alone in how I’m seeing things.

Living with Dez would feel like someone’s trying to gaslight me 24/7, and I wouldn’t feel comfortable being myself.

Tiff, most students don’t have the luxury to choose their housing based on what might be “fun”; people are not going to side with you if you make comments like that.

Nasty meltdowns are always entertaining as long as they happen to someone else. If Bets was the one in the meltdown, I sincerely doubt she would want her fans to see it. It would be so bad for business.

That girl needs to get out of the internet, and see the real-world situation happening here. But this serves as yet another example of why Tiffany needs to get out of there while the getting is good.

Besides, I want to see the expression on Stef and Kip’s faces when they realize they are going to have to use their own towels from now on… unless they start borrowing from Dez and Bets, of course.

One thing that I think people are overlooking/missing about Stef……Stef is who Tiffany COULD have been. Tiff was a self-centered cheerleader…..Stef is a self-centered cheerleader. Go back in time and look at how Tiff used to act with her friends; then compare it to Stef’s actions. Through Stef, we are seeing who and what Tiff could have become.

Dez repeats Tiffany’s description like it was an insult. What a pal. Isn’t empathy part of her spiritual earth mother persona? Dez hasn’t had to put up with body shaming. Dez hasn’t had any of her bath towels used for sex clean up. Dez hasn’t been kept up all night by two horn dogs in the next bed. Dez hasn’t been accused of stealing. All she is is a useless self-righteous poser. And Bets – Bets has NEVER been Tiffany’s friend. She has posted humiliating videos, finagled her way into living at the mansion and then watched while Tiffany proceeded with that disastrous warehouse project (all the time taking videos). Just remember – nothing changes here. Tiffany will stay in the dorm and Stephanie will continue to be obnoxious.

Once again, Tiff expresses her deep sense of loneliness and isolation.

Dez takes Stef has her roommate …putting Tiff and Bets together. Then we can have fun with the trio of Bets + Tiff + Gunther problems!

In real life, I think that they could get Stef kicked out just because she keeps entertaining her boyfriend in their shared room (or behind a curtain – yuck). Bernice would never have put up with this. They should get rid of this character, she is just a b#&$h and I hope her “Kippy” sees it too.

I dunno, from where I sit Stef seems to be the main problem. They all have their blind-spots, but hers are the most obtrusive, disrupting, and inconveniencing.

There was a series that ran August 3rd thru Aug 3th, 2015. In that series Gunther and Tiffany “pal-zoned” one another. Up to that point there was some se(x)ual tension between them. It’s been ALL downhill for Tiffany since. Once Bets moved in on her last true friend Tiff has suffered from rampant familial and social isolation!

Then from Jan 30th thru Feb 21st, 2019 Luann visited Gunther at the Gulag. Once again se(x)ual tension appeared in a strikingly similar situation to the above. Once again Gunther and now Luann “pal-zoned” one another. Luann then actually set in motion the the path for Bets to appear. Since that time Luann has also suffered from rampant ennui.

In the interim Jack and Kip have been floated out as romantic interests for our two primo ladies. Jack has drifted off to the twilight zone and Kip is now spoiled goods with his satyric relationship with Stef.

It is no wonder that the comments section has fallen victim to so many disappointed readers.

I like seeing Tiff stand up for herself. I get it, teens are pretty clueless. But Tiff knows her own heart. And she has dignity. No one has her back.

She is making the right decision. I guess she could have tried to enroll the others to see her side of things, but hey, this is a comic.

I think Tiff may have been a bit naive in her expectations about the hall A gang and finding friendship via the dorms & other females (so far she’s had better luck getting support from Gunth, Ox and Les), but that’s no excuse for Dez, Bets and Steph’s behavior. Best bet, she should move back to the mans, take an internship with daddy, quit the Fuse, get and make explicit written contracts for her future dealings with females (preferably in her own favor), and thank the guys in her life profusely.

Also, WTF Bets? Tiff is “high drama”? Drama just means you care enough about something to make a scene for it. You spent the entire summer crashing at Tiffs mansion, you should respect her house enough to understand WHY Tiff might be more concerned about it than you.

Tiffany’s problem isn’t dorm life in general, it’s having a despicable brat for a roommate. No-one deserves to have to share a room with Steffi.

I hope Tiff doesn’t change her mind. If she has lodging options, she shouldn’t have to suffer two idiot roommates in a dorm. Now if Bernice could relocate out of the De Groots’ house….

I am disappointed in Dez, who seems clueless, and Bets who only thinks about her SM business. They are not acting as true friends (to Tiff). Maybe they really aren’t.

I’ve always given Bets a generous benefit of the doubt, but this time she’s clearly crossed the line. In the past, her online life has mixed with reality, but in this strip she’s completely ignoring that there are human beings with feelings involved here.
