I somehow don’t think new shoes with work for Tiff.

When 9 Chickweed Lane makes more sense then Luann, you are failing a bar set so low that moles dig over it.

Maybe instead of trying to re-brand Steffie they will realize that they should each work on re-branding their own self.

At least Bets knows she is controlling. But is she doing anything about it?

Tiff sounds like Lila – In the strip “The meaning of Lila.” New shoes was always the answer for Lila.

Bets has a good handle on her persona. What would she be willing to change?

OMG…. Why don’t they just paint the walls pink and green? Then we can all watch paint dry for real.

Uh oh, The characters themselves are practically demolishing the 4th wall to beg the authors for a much needed status quo change cause they’re bored of their lives yet again. Must be that time of the week lol.

But for real, here’s some tips. Show more of these two doing stuff outside of the monotonous, repetitive unhappy dorm life situation. And for pity sake, Gunther and Bets aren’t worth the time spent on them! Give them a send off or something cause the bad stench of the Halloween party is still lingering. Stef too with her stale one-dimensional “Those trampy OTHER girls, for whom I am NOT like” personality that just exists to take cheap potshots at and there’s 0% chance of her getting any nuance.

Give Tiffany, a character with some actual stuff going on in her life, more interesting plots and characters to involve herself with. The girl used to be the biggest wild card, now she’s just a mopey observer who just wishes more was going on in her life. High School era Tiffany at least had a bit of zest and bravado. Heck, I know Luann is the resident “bump on a log” character but if you put her as a roommate with Tiffany, her former-rival-turned-frenemy. You could milk that for some fun for a lot longer than you can Tiffany with Bets who seems annoyed in her presence.

I’ve always considered my “public image” as how OTHERS see me. Don’t really care that I’m seen as mean-looking. I’m actually very sweet.

Hey Tiff. Instead of shoes, how about a new hair style. One from this century. The helmet head is getting long in the tooth.

Gotta hand it to Bets is the self-awareness department.

Tiffany was rebranded earlier when she put on the weight! Went through a major personality overhaul at the beginning of collage and is. abetter person for it! Bets on the other hand needs more work

I’ve never quite understood the fascination some women have with shoes. I’ve known a lady who had nearly an entire closet full of dress shoes. Some only worn once, a couple pairs never have been worn at all!Then again, I have a hard time walking by an aisle in any store that has to do with fishing lures…although I’ve never bought any fishing gear because it “looks sooooo cute!”

I like this bouncing from Stef to them that Bets and Tiffany are doing. They can’t change Stef, but they can change themselves. Both have a very realistic vision of themselves, not at all idealized and rather negative. This discussion will have great importance in the long term. I love that the banana is stained. It reminds me the cover of “Velvet underground & Nico”. Probably I’m exaggerating now, but it could be an explicit reference to say that, after this, everything will change.

At least Bets and Tiffany have moved on from “rebranding” Stefanie to actually discussing their own short-comings. Now we can sit back and enjoy the pity-party for the rest of the week. This is just a re-run of the pool party.

So – you both realize at last that you don’t give a poop about Stef’s re-branding?

Your public image is what other people think of you. No one thinks of Tiffany that way, except Tiffany. Spoiled, rich, selfish ditzy girl is her public image.

I think it’s more and more obvious that this arc is nothing but wheel-spinning that won’t result in any change to the status quo. Like the last arc, where at first it was teased that Brad and Toni might start trying for a child but by the end of it everyone was right back where they started.

Finally, signs of impending maturity.

They’re getting there. Doing much better than I did in Cowtown College. Yee-haw! What I really needed was immersive therapy and so much more support than I could find which was less than none. How do you get minus one support you ask? Find someone who says they care who is in reality, a series of soul sucking parasites.
