Many folks wonder how Evangelical Christians can support Trump who is possibly the least Christian person alive. I shall enlighten you. Trump and the Judeo-Christian god are very similar. Both are authoritarian dictators whose very words must be believed without question. Both are narcissistic who demand to be worshiped and glorified by their followers. Both demand obedience and will destroy those who won’t bow down. Both demand their followers give up all critical thinking and intellectual analysis as that will separate them from their lord, and they must deny all reality for follow their fantasies. Evangelicals are “god-fearing” people as they know their god can, and has, destroyed almost all life and Republican Congress people are terrified of Trump as he can destroy their careers and lives. And both make a big show of “loving” their people while never doing anything to help them.

Evangelicals are not as mindless as they appear to be. They really want the entire country to share their beliefs, or at least to act like they do. They don’t like abortions, and actually birth control, they want everyone to attend church and believe in Jesus, they want everyone to allow public prayer everywhere all the time. They would not allow any evidence of any other religion, or lack thereof to be displayed in public. That kind of thing is frightening to them and they really really hate it. And, they have somehow gotten the idea that Trump wants a Christian version of the Taliban in America. This is quite a reach, considering that he doesn’t attend church himself and has shown absolutely no morals according to the dictates of any religion.

It is amazing to see how many of these people who are, in their own minds at least, a moral shining light actually are not ashamed of the fact that they are avidly supporting a person who is reliably dishonest in his business dealings and has the Family Values credentials of an extremely active tomcat.

Teaching a child that religion and god are real instead of teaching the child how to think critically is one of the worst forms of child abuse. MAGAts are the end result of believing beliefs that are belief based. Many don’t have enough thinking ability to realize that they are worshiping a criminal that is destroying our country and democracy. We are no longer living in the bronze age when most of this modern day god stuff was invented. There was a reason for it then because the tribal leader could use it to rule over the ‘flock’ and lord over women and claim that ‘divine’ guidance from his god said it was OK to kill off the neighboring tribe to get their land and stuff. There was still land for the masses then, when the world population was fewer than a billion. This is no longer true with our growing over 8 billion population that’s 6 billion past sustainable. We need more reason and less blind following of evil people.
