Little kids love to keep asking “Why?” Apparently little cats love to keep asking “What’s this.”

Baba is correct. Kittens are exhausting!

Oh drat, I can’t remember what musical that is. I can hear the melody, but I can’t place the show title. Augh! This is going to bug me now. Can one of our more musically-literate Orbsters help?

Please let her do this for a few strips Georgia. ALso fitting both in tone, and in almost being christmas.

As a side note it’s GOOOOOD to be back. And just in time for our dynamic duo to explore the apartment. Presumibly like with Goldie (and as I THINK happened with both Iggy and Goldie in real life), the adoption will go through around christmas. It’s just less of a hassle this time as the Man dosen’t need a special exemption now their going to co-own the place.

I fear that little lady is going to require tons of patience and redirection.

Ora reminds me of my tiny tortie, Peekaboo. When I first brought her home, she would take a few steps, stop for a look, and make her “Peekaboo noise”, an inquisitive little cross between a purr and a mew. I’m sure it translated to “What’s this? And this? And this?”

Pucky’s sweet smile! I wonder if he is remembering back to his kittenhood “Gotcha” day.

Meimei was a “what’s this, what’s that” kitten too, especially since she’d spent her entire first two months outdoors behind a gas station and now she was in an apartment with all the food and snuggles she wanted and a big brother and two loving people to bite. And she put everything in her mouth.

Nightmare Before Christmas is my daughter, Thing 2’s, favorite Christmas movie! I love the reference.

I love the two kitties exploring! This strip has a wonderful energy. Be careful in panel two though, just in case that box makes the Man scream.

What a nice birthday present, all of the comics sites are back online! And my favorite comic has a nod to one of my favorite movies, too :-).

The five stages for Robert when Go Comics was down:

Denial: “Hmm, can’t read Breaking Cat News this morning. I am sure it will be up in a minute…”

Anger: “What do you mean I can see Georgia’s Sunday strip? Who’s responsible for this outrage?” (bangs on the kitchen table so hard he spills his tea and proceeds to throw his buttered crumpet against the wall).

Bargaining: “Oh, Great Cat in the sky. Send me a sign that this is temporary, and I promise to be a better cat dad.”

OTAbout a month ago I walked into a pet store to get supplies for Alice Cooper cat and the Princess Rain. I walked in to see an employee in tears, and a volunteer frantically trying to contact a foster. Long story short.. someone had dumped a pregnant calico at the store, and the manager wanted her taken to our humane society (which is high kill). I walked out with her, named her Stevie Nicks, and she now has 3 gorgeous little ones. Though the orb would like to know…

What a wonderful day. Warm(ish), sunny, and BCN is back. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. Among things I am thankful for is waking up to BCN and your comments each morning. It sets the tone for the day. I have learned so much from each of you about cats. I thought mine were extrodinary – they are, but so nice to know that others have extrodinary cats also.

This first time since many years me on Go Comics that they disappears suddenly for so many days. Me was worries if what CATastrophe had happens.

That’s exactly how my late cat, Opera Ghost, acted for the first few months after bringing him home. And we used that song, too.

It is good to be back on GoComics. I used to have an Arcamax account, until something went wrong on that site some years ago. I haven’t bothered signing in since. It’s good that they run BCN, and it’s nice that people can post pictures, but there’s no place like home. The problem must have been a widespread one, the online version of our local paper issued a statement that it’s cartoons puzzles and games pages were unavailable.

I’m channeling The Woman from Sunday – after much procrastination (reading Pucky, Prince of Bacon) I’m getting with the pre-feast program. One pecan pie is in the oven now. Pumpkin will be next, because it’s not Thanksgiving without a pumpkin pie on my table.

It starts with “what’s this” and quickly proceeds to “will it bounce”. A kitten brain is close to the ultimate computer. It makes a working universe out of random incidents in a few months by simply doing every possible thing with its body to the environment around it. Sometimes the environment survives the experience.

The longer this arc goes, the more these two remind me of Pru and Dee. Pru may have been blind, but she bounced from thing to thing all around the house as soon as she came out of the bathroom. You could practically hear her asking this question, too. Like Iggy, Dee was content to follow along and check out whatever she had found.
