Sweet, yes, unless and until the plan goes sideways… then, not so much.

I have to admit, ever since I saw this for the first time, I try to make the same face every time I get a water balloon.

It’s that feeling of covfefe!

And life is easy when you’re evil.

Nowadays kids just use malware from the comfort of their basement.

Esp when the balloon is mostly filled with maple syrup. >:)

Since this is almost 3 decades old, I wonder if he and Susie ever got married? All the signs of a true love connection were there …I mean, come on! Waterballons = true love.

Ahh, sweet memories of the ’40’s!

Don’t thing water balloons were the thing back when I was a kid in the middle 40s. Water pistols yes.

Calvin didn’t learn his lesson from Thursday. He keeps “tapping” into trouble!

Calvin has some great sinister smiles, like in the third panel.

Yes that was a blast back in the day to have water ballon fights, good way to cool down on some very hot and humid days.

In a different context and revising the lyrics from Aqualung: “Eyeing little girls with bad intent. . . . Calvin”

One of the sadder things I have seen is a gadget for filling ten water balloons at the same time. The tedious loading process was the necessary price for the anticipated glee of the attack. Might as well have a butler throw them for you. :)

On the lookout for Susie….

Life is ‘sweet’ until Susie Derkins retaliates, that is…

He’ll throw it a Suzie and miss. Suzie will knock his block off, and somehow it’ll still be worth it.
