Took me a second on the last panel, then the groan of a solidly bad pun was heard throughout the land.

I am guessing that the “gentle” bit is more of an instruction or wishful thinking, rather than a . . . description?

What is Elvis wearing in the last panel? How did he change from his work clothes to a bathrobe?

He really IS Mommy’s special boy! ……and precious baby. So sweet I feel tears dancing in my eyes. The last panel is so adorable, Elvis is vulnerable but safe now.

The look on the man’s face is just priceless …

Looks like the Woman wrapped Elvis in a blankie or towel to get him to detach. More likely to protect herself from the claws.

Do we know a Timmy? hee!!! I have no curtains on my windows though I suspect Loaner Cat wouldn’t have climbed them if I had. She’s the world’s least adventurous cat.

Mama’s special little boy is all safe and has the Woman totally conned.

I suspect that the terms “gentle angel puff” and “delicate boy” will come back to haunt Elvis in some future strip.

I just noticed that the BCN crew has human teeth, not cat.

Today, March 27, is the fourth anniversary of BCN’s first appearance in the newspaper in 2017 (not to be confused with BCN Origination Day—March 12, 2014—when the webcomic had its debut).

In celebration, please consider writing to your local paper and, politely, urging them to carry the strip (or, if it already does, thanking them for carrying the strip. Explain why you love it and why it is a good fit for the paper. Even if you have written before in years past, write again. The number of newspapers that the strip appears in is critical to its success and survival. As BCN lovers, we can do no less than our very best to see it maintained in our local papers!

P.S. No, I don’t want to hear that you don’t read newspapers anymore. That is irrelevant. You don’t have to read the newspaper to ask it to carry the strip.

Oh Elvis! The ear scritching, the tiny glass of water, the Man’s extra shirt wrapped comfortingly around him…oh! My heart explodes for Mommy’s Special Boy in the loving arms of his mom.

He’ll spend the rest of the day curled around Her neck, in Her lap, or wrapped round Her ankles and the Person who discovered his predicament will be hissed at for a week.

Some cats become quite affectionate after a harrowing experience. As my cats got older, they would understand when I was trying to help. However, you have to build a solid reputation of trustworthiness. All it takes is one step on a tail to set back the process.

Yes, Elvis is VERY VERY much a “precious baby” and a “Little angle puff” see yesterdays comic for evidence of this.

I’m always reminded of how similar Elvis is to my Siamese boy.

Panels 3&4 are both perfect—the man’s reaction, the woman’s reaction, Elvis’ reactions, and Puck’s line “do we know a Timmy?”

My two didn’t climb curtains, but yeah, Vlad was my special little boy that I could do most things with that no one else could do. Miss my little boy.

Elvis is a drama queen purrito.

So … how many days is the Woman going to need to carry her gentle little angel puff around before he’s over his shattering experience?
