Does anybody who post here have any skill at editing Wikipedia entries? The Breaking Cat News entry is in serious need of updating. I am hopeless at it.
You must be a new reader! Welcome to the happiest place on earth! Yes, Lupin is deaf, and Puck has three legs (although he doesn’t like to brag). These things occasionally are referenced in the strip. Lupin is very proficient at “reading whiskers” and there is a teleprompter that he relies on to convey conversations to him. And, every now and then, the other cats are depicted doing sign language.
That’s where we have seen Elvis like this before!!!! The Shelter Cats page: You have 5 seconds to walk out of here or you’ll be wearing a face full of Siamese! Elvis always protects Puck!
I’m with you Robin. The Christmas story when Buzzy Mouse gets kidnapped upsets me because I can’t bear to see Pucky in vengeance mode. This isn’t much different. I don’t like seeing Lupin like this. I want MY carefree Cat of Adventure back!
I see that Amazon is listing “Take It Away, Tommy” as #1 in Children’s Animal Comics & Graphic Novels.
As it should be.
I had one of those “cat kettles” too!
To this day, I still unwrap presents very carefully to preserve the wrapping paper. Why? Because that is how my Grandmother taught me to do it: no ripping of the paper! Save it for next time! Grandmother, of course, was raising a family during the depression and such sensible precautions were second nature to her. I think I shall always flinch at people who jut rip open a package. Or, to put this another way, your mother and I would probably get along quite well together.
“Shut up, Wesley!”
I keep hoping that this will lead into Elvis & Puck relating the story of when Lupin joined the household and became anchor cat. Georgia has longed teased that she has that story in waiting for the proper time.
Impaling is a separate issue. There are cases of people being strapped above bamboo shoots and left to have the trees grow through them. That is feasible. And hideously sadistic.
