That is a quirk of Tom Batiuk’s belief system. He rejects the term “comic books” and just calls them “books”—equal (if not superior) in all ways to novels. Logically it follows that he considers “bookshop” and “comic book shop” to be synonyms.
I’m finding it hard to accept that she would take vacation time and leave the prior storyline on such a cliffhanger. I’m worried that some other emergency came up.
