Okay. Guess we’ve seen the last of Pru.

WHOA. The ‘Groots have plans for that room, and that doesn’t appear to involve renting it out again.

It’s just as well I guess. Between the Gulag and Tiffany being “saddled” with Stef, I suspect We’ve all had quite enough of the “Roommate from H3LL” stories.

Imagine the excitement when Luann marries and vacates the Degroots home.

Darn. And I told Pru the other day to take out all the nails and spackle the holes. Drawers left gaping open, coathangers on the floor.

More looks like like she was in a hurry to get out of town before the reactor containment vessel blew in the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station there near San Diego…

Did Prudence forfeit her “cleaning deposit”?

I can’t believe that Pru really left.

If Luann was to clear the space in her bedroom, she can transform it into VR room for herself and Bernice.

Note also, Al Kaline, old Detroit Tiger right fielder died at 83. Wore #6 and died on the 6th.

Between the revenue from the Fuze and rent collected from their second home, renting out the the spare room seemed to be just a bonus. However, this is only Tuesday of this week’s strip. I believe by the of end of the week, any plans to re-purpose the room into something else will get derailed.

Well, she didn’t pick up after herself very well.

Make room for Tiffany

Looks like Frank & Nancy don’t need the rent. Dang – I was hoping for a new tenant – maybe the Coupon Girl. Alternately – Tiffany & Stef have a major confrontation – Tiffany moves out and is trying to sleep at The Fuse – and the DeGroots decide to help. Luann & Tiffany adjusting to each other after all these years could be interesting. It would have been impossible during Tiffany’s cheerleader days.

Tsk tsk…Pru is not a tidy girl. Hanger on the floor. Drawers are out on the bureau and that’s just the doorway. If the DeGroots held deposit for damages, they ought to deduct for a cleaning fee.

Let’s see: a home gym for a guy who’s never really worked out, a home office for a lady who’s never worked in an actual office, or a VR room for a girl who really needs fewer things keeping her at her parents’ house? Option 2 is probably best here.

What, they own and operate the Fuze and don’t already have an office at home?

I guess this is going to be one of these characters that you see leaves/goes upstairs/takes a vacation and is never seen again like you see in sitcoms, soaps and in comic books and strips (like this one).

LOL wow, so that was that- they said goodbye in all of a week! Guess she never was meant to hang around in a podunk middle-class suburban town when she was a New York theater girl.

The memory didn’t linger long.

I have an idea: Why doesn’t Luann move out like, you know…. an adult…..?

This only Pru’s that she won’t be missed!

I suspect VR would give me screaming headaches, just like 3D movies.

Didint take them long to get over missing dear Pru! Now, will we end of with a combination gym, office and VR room? Or something else?

Sigh, life goes on. have a VR room would be awesome.

So much for Tiffany moving in

I didn’t expect Pru to leave the room looking like that. She should be more mature than that. It doesn’t match the Pru we have come to know.

There is more to this week, Think someone unexpectedly is going to show up and will need to move in.

Hmm, Pru seems a little selfish here. I know if I had lived in someone else’s home, I wouldn’t leave it all messy, with crap on the floor and drawers hanging open.

She certainly wasn’t much trouble. She never seemed to get a meal at their table, just worked for them and kept out of sight mostly.

I think Luann has some ideas for Pru’s old room.

How unceremonious! She was a lovely young woman.

So, with the Evan’s looking at a room renovation I’ll be curious to see if this brings TJ and maybe Brad into the show for a little bit. We haven’t seen much of them (spot appearances). The next question to consider is with Pru leaving and the Fuse having a theater will we see Luann step up as the manager there? Could be a little interesting, especially if Luann pulled in some of her contacts from the community college (how about opening it up as an art studio, maybe giving space to Zebo and his classes).

I like a Vrroom room better. Leave a sock on the doorknob if it’s in use.

They’ve just lost a paying renter and productive employee. They aren’t thinking.

I believe I hinted that something like this would happen yesterday. I just didn’t expect mom and pop to chime in. Reminds me of office life. When an employee left the body snatchers couldn’t wait to raid the desk for stuff they couldn’t get from the Head Supply Nazi; a stapler that worked every time, an office chair without a stuck wheel… :o\

“She was quite a gal” & “Unforgettable” sound a lot like “Who was this person who lived her for years and never had a story or defined character?”Been a lot of those in this strip.

A few days left. We building to a “Who replaces Pru?” climax?

My comments tend to focus on the story, and not as much on the graphical part of comic art, and I appreciate those who do. I get so much more perspective when I look at those comments and look more carefully at the art, because those observations contribute to the story. The messiness of the room after Pru left for example. Is it a statement about Pru and her temporary stay in Pittsville, which I never could really figure out totally anyway; I mean being a server trying to run a repertory theater in a basic small town/bedroom suburb community. Maybe a college town given that Moony University is located there. Which might make it a choice, but I would have thought she would have tried to get on at Moony for example. Anyway, it’s a sharp left turn in the story, and that is what I am interested in going forward. I have no idea what GnK have in mind, but you know I always say, “hilarity will ensue.”

A home gym would be great if Frank used it. Nancy deserves a Hunk for a change.

Say…whatever happened to that young girl Luann was mentoring from the theater camp? She just disappeared.

I’ve got a feeling they’re going to let it again.

isn’t it interesting that Luann wants a room devoted to virtual reality. She already has one it’s her room. And she already spends too much time in her own self made virtual realities (of the mind). She needs to have more actual realities.

And so in panel two we get to witness Pru disappear down the Degroots’ memory hole, never to be mentioned again.

Vocational rehabilitation? Virtual reality? Voice recognition? Violent remembrance? Visual reduction? Venus rising? Vocal recharge?

Personally, I’m having a hard time believing that Pru would remove her items from the dresser and then leave the drawers as indicated. Pru would have pushed all of them in neatly, closed.

So what was the point of the Pru character?

Wow – talk about quickly writing out a character! They will probably turn the bedroom into another revenue generating venture, “Massages by Gunther Spa”

Get a pool table.

They could paint the entire room black with a yellow grid all around and create a holodeck.

I was a bit disappointed in the way Pru left the room, it did not seem to fit Pru’s character.

I have a neighbor who is a hoarder, and you would not believe her house, narrow pathways through piles of junk everywhere, upstairs and down. She had us watch her house when she went on vacation last year, and a couple of days after she got back, she came over and asked if we had seen anything going on at her house while she was gone, to which we said we did not. She said she thought that someone may have gained entry and ransacked the place. I asked, how could she tell? If looks could kill…

Let’s meet Pru’s fiance! She sounds awesome! I bet they’d home school their kids as they travel the world with them. Bring back the lesbian couple!

If any of these, I would expect Nancy to prevail. But I kinda suspect we may get a new renter….

I vote for a home office. The older I get, the more documentation and maintaining my personal filing system becomes important to me. Health insurance, life insurance, medical, vision, and dental. Then, every quarter, I check my personal investment / retirement funds.

Brad’s room is available for the next renter.

So that’s the end of this arc then? Disappointing. I was expecting this to build up into something a little bigger…
