Going back a few days, the Woman was looking at these in a catalogue, and the Man had a forced looking grin. At the time I thought it was because he hated this idea, but now I see that he was trying not to reveal his present!

Goldie is now one of the gang!

Can’t wait for the Christmas strip. It should be a keeper. Maybe a framed picture for my holiday decorations.

Who, in their right mind, would want matching pyjamas? Also, who has special pyjamas for Xmas (or any other time of year)? Humbug.

Elvis and Lupin are going to be annoyed. Very annoyed. And for different reasons.

All this time, I’ve been thinking of the clothes that the cats wear as existing in a sort of separate reality, along with all the technology they use. I’ve been thinking that the people don’t see the clothes, sort of a Calvin and Hobbes dual reality thing. But if they actually got them cat pajamas, maybe they see the other clothes, and the cameras, and all the rest of it. Hmm.

’Twas 2 days before Christmas,

and through the BP house -

not a 4-legged creature was seen,

In truth they’ve always been good boys and girl,

To the folks wondering about the paper, Remember they were officially fostering Goldie through the rescue that Tommy’s mom works at, so those are probably the official adoption papers. Yay!!!! <3

Goldie is getting her forever home for Christmas, and I know she’ll love her new pajamas, or at least accept them in the spirit in which they’re intended!

O.T. – Thank you all for the outpouring of support and suggestions, I’m touched and uplifted by your responses! Our commenters are full of experiences and excellent advice, which I am taking to heart. I will investigate endocrinologists in my area (dang insurance networks), and also see if my insurance will pay for a visit to a dietician/nutritionist (or at least a phone consult with one) to get advice on meal planning. And of course thanks to Georgia for providing such a wonderful strip to bring us all together, full of happy endings! Have a great Christmas Eve Eve (aka Monday) everyone!

Re: All the Tommybaums becoming part of people’s Christmas traditions – I’ve added reading the BCN Christmas special to mine, but Georgia, I also saw your comment that you love horror and wanted to recommend my fellow native Providence author H. P. Lovecraft’s story “The Festival” that I always read at this time of year:
