Many years ago when Hong Kong was a British colony, a luxury hotel was built on the seaside to cater to rich westerners. Management were soon faced with an unusual problem — guests would fish from their balconies, totally disregarding signs posted in every suite forbidding the practice. A consultant cured the problem easily. He removed the signs.

S’what happens when you don’t make the crossing before the little person symbol changes to a hand.

Locally there was a bridge over a stream that no-one fished from. A sign was put up saying “No fishing from bridge”. Fishing then became a problem.

Does Silly Walking qualify?

Years ago, Wiley did one with a sign forbidding the juggling of machetes.

I suppose all dancing started as Interpretive until other people started to learn the steps. Then it became the right way to do it.

The sign’s there because there’s also a hidden camera aimed at the crosswalk. The best dances will be posted to a YouTube channel.

Dancing? No, I wasn’t dancing. I’m with the Ministry of Silly Walks.

To a stiff collared Puritan the whole world is in need of punishment to hew to the straight and narrow.

When I was younger, when I tried dancing they thought they needed to call EMS cause they thought I was having a fit or something. If I try to dance now at my age, they probably will need to call EMS as I am sure to injure one or more parts of my person.
