    perhaps the multitude of religions exists to satisfy the need to manipulate the masses. that commandment would greatly limit the usefulness of that agenda.

    exactly my thought. Education is not without value. Sometimes meaning has to be derived through a process that shapes and expand our perspective. Like they say, the allure of freedom is lost to those who had not experienced it. In the same way, education expands our mind and perspectives and allow us to see meaning where before we could not see.

    Given that our attention is a finite resource, it is likely that spreading it out across geography has cost us the ability to focus.

    That’s a non sequitur. If pig can be objective about his stupidity. It would mean that he had grown beyond it. Which means he isn’t stupid anymore

    I.e. the good thing about being stupid is that the stupid aren’t aware of it.
