Oh dear, Chet appears to have gotten himself in a pickle again. I’d better go help him out of there. Then maybe we can find somebody who knows a grommis from a frammis and can put this stuff together in, like, 15 minutes.

That’s the problem with instructions for projects requiring a higher spatial dimension for assembly. My tesseracts always look weird. Reminder to self: make them earthquake proof…

Actually Chet has gotten it right. He thought he was ordering a tv cabinet when he really ordered a tsghiveld.

It’s made in outer Slovenia and is used for TVs. “TV cabinet “translates to:”wire enclosure for chickens”Which is what Chet is assembling.

I hope the Chet’s last name isn’t Eiffel because it looks to be a while before that mess becomes a tower.

Chet, like many people, was a bit misled by the description…. or rather, he didn’t quite read it correctly.

Look… it’s right there in the comic… he saw that it came with “Easy to assemble” instructions…

and he thought that meant putting together the …um… cabinet… enclosure…. tower… whatever it is …. would be a snap.

But, in fact, it only meant that the instructions are easy to assemble… which they were.

Line up two sheets of paper, fold in half… and Bob’s-your-uncle.

The item itself, however… not so much.

Take as many looks as you like. You’ll never assemble it properly. You should never buy anything that says “assembly require” on the packaging.
