Snooki? Heard the name but I don’t watch network television. Some sort of femme troublemaker? I barely know who Lady GAGA is and have never heard one of her songs, if she indeed sings.

Regarding a Mayan Calendar remark from yesterday…you think maybe the Mayans had a prophecy of when the Ekert and anti-Ekert would meet?

Maybe the anti-Ekert should be imprisoned on an island with mysterious hatches and variable geographical location. What could possibly go wrong?

Too late. I googled Snooki a few weeks ago when my son showed me a parody video about Jersey Shore (we don’t have TV, but kids have their ways of knowing what their buddies are watching).

Since I think virtually all reality TV is stupid, and this is a fake reality show as best as I can figure, it’s just that much more stupid. (When I think about it, virtually all TV is stupid which is why I haven’t had it for 16 years.)

I managed to avoid Jersey Shore and the rest of those shows, and never heard of her until one of the anchors on a cable “news” show read a story about her arrest for annoying people on a beach.

I miss the days before 300 cable channels when you had to be someone worth watching to be on TV, and when shows were more than cameras following around morons (Jersey Shore, Dog the Bounty Hunter, etc. etc.)

And when news programs actually told you news (no gossip, and no shouting heads).

The only reality TV I watch is ESPN.

hawgowar: I found out accidentally while at a doctor’s office that Lady Gaga can actually sing. They played a song by an unknown (to me) singer that had a pleasant melody, lyrics I could actually understand and somewhat trained voice singing it. Imagine my surprise when the announcer said it was Lady Gaga.

I’m amused that discussion of Snooky is generating as many comments as discussing God. I doubt the existence of “Snooky.” A wanna-be actress is giving a bad portrayal of a Jersey heifer. Girlfriend needs Jesus.

Only one comment needs addressing. NJ is not TOTALLY the armpit of America. There are MANY beautiful areas (it’s just too bad that one particular county is overwhelmingly RED - I had to move.)

Then in this case, Keechum, that is a complete misnomer! The Snooki from Jersey Shore (and I sure wish I didn’t know who she is) is ANYTHING BUT a “sweet young and cuddly lady.” I only know who she is because I have a habit of reading magazine headlines while waiting in line in the market.
