I’m saying yes. The tutor arc they had with Axel lasted 2 weeks. And if it ends here… what would be the whole point of this arc (besides showing that Luann is easily taken advantage of) ?

Luann really ought to reconsider her major, if she means to major in education. And get a new job, of course.

And I got called a „hater“ because Monday, I suggested a Shannon arc would be better than this.

She’s a good hearted dim bulb.

This is what comes of plotting stories in week-long blocks. It was obvious by Wednesday, Thurdays at the outside what Lockjaw was doing but we has to sit through 2-3 days of logrolling to fill out the week. It’s no wonder that the strip feels like it’s never going anywhere.

If you look over the curse of the week Luann did really well.

Max, I am starting to be impressed with you. You post early, you respond to comments with reasonable responses. You add “likes” to virtually every comment. I don’t for a minute believe you actually like the comments, but I appreciate the fact that you spend the time to actually read all of them. Takes a lot of time to read 200 posts per day.

This is what will trip up Vale. He’ll copy down (poorly) all of Luann’s diary entries. Including the unfinished last one. Without checking any of the work. And the teacher will give him an incomplete for the assignment.

Helped a Brother in Law doing an English assignment for college. He wrote down exactly what I said and used it. The prof nailed him on it! Too funny. Something about a ‘different voice’.

I’m getting a really bad feeling that this Vale creature is the Strip’s new re-occurring character.

OK, it seems that the main point of this storyline was to show, once more, how dense Luann is.

I have a feeling that now many of Vale’s friends will going to Luann asking for help. I’m still afraid that the recordings will become a problem for her. Although, in a part of my weird & wild fantasy, I hope that one of Vale’s parents is a director and hearing Luann act them will decide to have her as an actress.

Maybe the assignment will write itself, but it is plagiarism.

I keep hoping these are from some book on Van Gogh and he’s not just plagiarizing Luann and does get nailed. But really, she doesn’t see him sitting there with his phone recording her?

I hope and pray that we’ll never see that gorilla again!!

Luann’s world has to have at least one knuckle dragger in it to cause turmoil with the fans. Let us not forget Ann Eifel (sp?) She was a nasty piece. I’m no fan of Shannon either but she has been toned down somewhat.

No, it won’t LITERALLY write it self. But with the recordings of Luann doing Van Gogh’s diary, it will be so easy, even Shannon could do it.

Now he has to write what Luann has said. Can he spell treacherous or use shall and torment? What will he write after “cut off”? That could be fun or interesting. :-o

My prediction is that he’ll turn in the quotes he scammed from Luann, get dinged for plagiarism and then complain about it.

So he’s a jock AND a jerk! How can you be happy knowing you’re STUPID? I was always devastated if I got a B in class – even in college. I ever only got one B and it was in Algebra and I spent the next hour trying not to cry! My professor (retired Navy like myself) quickly learned to put my exam result FACE DOWN in front of me!

Plagerizing…

why is Luann such a stickler about time such that she stops talking in mid-sentence the second the session ends? And if time is so limited why did she spend the bulk of it showcasing her own abilities rather than helping Vale develop his own? It’s good to be passionate about your subject matter but you can’t lose sight of why you are there in the 1st place. First Axel and now Vale, each has figured out how to highjack the session and squeeze out of having to learn and Luann is taken for a ride. High school students may be as big as she is but mentally they are adolescent.

Perhaps next week Vale will return complaining about his grade when he wrote “…and so I shall cut off my nose.”

P.S. Vale’s smirk is cringe worthy. He has a nasty streak in there somewhere.

Assuming Luann goes to work every day, she would have a number of students that she has tutored. She wouldn’t have just two. It would be funny if the teachers at the high school started noticing that all the assignments are sounding alike. It would be even better if Vale and some other blockhead she tutored turned in the same assignment, with both of the papers full of her dramatic examples. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t be funny for Luann, but then, she wasn’t too excited about this job anyway. She should take another stab at that kid’s acting school she tried to start up awhile back. Time for Quill to return.

The smirk and size of this guy, you know things aren’t going to end well!

Unfortunately Luann has allowed her own unbridled enthusiasm for art history and her love of drama get carried away here. She has inadvertently done Vale’s homework for him! It’s an easy mistake to make when you are a young teacher in training—-to assume your students feel the same passion you do.

Nobody cares what grade some jock gets in art history. Neither the teacher, principal nor Luann’s boss will waste a second of their time worrying about Vale’s work.

Vale is taking a shortcut to disaster.

Can’t wait to see how Vale finishes her last sentence. It’ll definitely point to his cheating when he writes about whatever Van Gogh cut off. His painting hand, perhaps?

All through college I knew those who just wanted answers to specific problems, not methods to solve all new ones too.

The trouble with this kind of angle-working is that sooner or later Concrete-for-Brains will out, revealing that the seemingly fluent (if rather operatic) performance was false.

And now he will tell all of his buddies how he tricked Luann into doing his assignment for him and they will all come flocking to her!

Yeah, you “did it,” you oblivious twit, Luann. You practically wrote Vale’s paper for him, just as he intended….
