Because it’s there.

Because he’s ornery/mental.

He wouldn’t be a kitty if he didn’t cause some type of disaster.

I wonder about the mental acumen of people who get cats and expect them to act like something else.

Well he a cat. That’s why.

It’s a cat thing. Why I haven’t had a Christmas tree for years. That and a Scrooge for a husband.

Some of the cats we’ve lived with over the years would be lapping up that water, and chewing on any needles that were on the floor.

Because it’s fun.

“Fir coat” should be fitting for a Brevity comic strip pun.

We had a cat that never did that, BUT sadly, we learned years after, he climbed an outside pine tree and got trapped and died. Skeleton found, when tree was taken down.

Because you don’t tie the tree to the ceiling. (Which I actually used to do, after the second cat vs tree incident in two days!)

I hope to reincarnate as a cat. They can lick their own crotch.

Time to switch to a blue spruce

Bring only a female tree into the house. If the tree doesn’t have balls, the cat will leave it alone.

Cats climb trees to hunt for birds, chipmunks and squirrels. Never mind there aren’t any in your Christmas tree, it’s still a tree and must be thoroughly inspected for potential tasty morsels. The addition of dangling ornaments is a big plus as far as the cat is concerned. TOYS!! ALL MINE TO KILL!!

We had a dog who peed on the lights and shorted them out. It’s not only cats who do things to Christmas trees.
