After a few months reading it again I gotta say I have a new respect for baby blues. Like say, Zits it isn’t really going to age that fast (for some reason they won’t just.. let Wren not be a baby or toddler), but the characters are sharp enough. I’ll also say like it’s sister strip , it’s at it’s best when it’s doing humor based on the characters themselves, like today’s comic, than “PARENTING AMIRITE” jokes.

There’s something fundamentally wrong here.

Being of Scots descent and having been thoroughly immersed in Celtic culture, I know flat-out that “Hamish” (his given name, the English version of the name Sheumais, which is Scottish Gaelic for James) is pronounced “HAY-mish,” NOT "HAH-mish. I’ve known two Hamishes, so they can attest. Therefore, one who knows this would assume (as I have for all these years) that the nickname “Hammie” would be pronounced “HAY-mee,” NOT “HAH-mie”!! Therefore the rhyme would be “Hammie and AMY.” not Tammy!

Have the McPhersons (and Kirkman/Scott) been mangling their son’s name all these years? I suppose they think “Dougie” (for Douglas) is pronounced “DOG-gie” and not “DOO-gie” (As in “Doogie Houser, M.D.”)…………………………….

There was a boy in my class with the last name Caron…the kids all said that if we got married I’d be Karen Caron. I don’t know whether to be glad or upset that he didn’t like me. LOL

I can relate! I had a 9th grade girl chasing me, when I was in the 7th grade. To me it was terrifying, until my father told me to her catch me and what she wanted. When I found out what she wanted, I was stunned!!
