my calico Sara swears at me all the time! or when I call her name she’ll respond with a meow that sounds like a teenager saying WHAT! followed by the guttural sound they make.
I couldn’t believe they let Odie on television either, but they did, and I was surprised because I remember reading that one thing Jim Davis wouldn’t have is Garfield television, and I thought that meant Garfield on television, and I finally realized he meant Garfield televisions as a product.
They must be watching “Yellow-snow”, the gripping family drama of a cat and dog family fighting for their patch of backyard, settled by their ancestors.
I for one am not pleased by the words that are now allowed, if they want that kind of language on cable, fine for them, but we don’t really need that on the main networks. How you feel about that is up to you.
That’s how it is with movies. Parents take their kids to watch certain movies and when they turn out too strong, they complain. They don’t even care if they were warned. It could slap them in the face and they still would whine.
My cat Bailey has "sworn " at me & I tell him to watch his mouth!!There was an old Garfield strip where Garfield stubbed his paw & he let out a loud * “MEOWWWRRR!!” * .Then in the next bubble he said " Pardon my language ."

That’s how pets swear at their humans, if they don’t get fed immediately.

I once verbally insulted a cat. Yes, I meowed at it. Not sure what I said, but she definitely seemed offended.

Maybe this was a dog version of Samuel L. Jackson and a cat version of Eddie Murphy.
