Back in the late ’60’s, around the time I graduated, schools still taught critical thinking. A popular bumper sticker (remember them?) was “Question Authority.”
When is Rat going to do his crypto trading cards with photoshopped images with awesome artwork… Here’s Rat drinking beer. Here’s Rat telling people off. Here is Rat Cowboy, Rat Astronaut, Rat Race Car Driver, Rat the Barista.
A couple of my Funnies sites just told me they have to first check my comment. Personally, I would vote to FACT CHECK all internet inputs, ALL. I would even pay for it. GOSH DARN, WHAT A GREAT CONCEPT. (Please Editor, let this one go out.)
It’s really not wrong to trust some people to tell the truth. The PROBLEM is that so many of us trust folks who simply don’t tell the truth (often enough). Even worse, they tell you things you like hearing, so then you believe some of the other stuff too.
I really miss the days when newspapers had the budget to hire good writers and good editors; and print more than a few paltry pages. The best I can do these days is read BBC and Al Jazeera… and Go Comics. As well as a few others a bit more piecemeal.
