    I would not call it safer, but at least on land humans are the top of the food chain, save a few very minor exceptions

    You know, now that I think about it, most of the injuries I have gotten as a scuba diver have actually been on shore, or the boat, getting into or out of the water. No foolin’

    You don’t say. Although we have creatures that bother us on land too like the neighbor’s dog. Still it’s safer on land than in the ocean.

    Since he’s never worn shoes, his soles are too tough for that. I grew up that way, and thorns, nails, broken glass didn’t get through.
