Whenever I see Hobbes saying “Hoo hoo hoo”, I wonder if he was at all inspired by Tigger.

Kids are like that too. Full speed ahead or full stop, with only the pre-sleep crankies in between.

Hobbes is too big to fight effectively. Calvin needs to study Aikido. (Might work on Moe, too).

Just like my daughter’s Pomeranian. I go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and the crazy yap dog attacks me!

My 8 month old kitten. She doesn’t walk, she gallops through the house. Then all of a sudden she crashes. She’s my lap companion as I type.

Well, in Hobbes defense, coming out of a good dream hungry could make any predator jump a zebra.

All cats are like that – Zooming from curled up sound asleep to full-scale action in a nano-second.

I once bent over one of my cats to pet him. I thought he was awake, because his eyes were partly open. He wasn’t. As soon as I touched him, he jumped straight up. For several minutes, I thought he had broken my nose. To be fair, there was a Siamese in the house who thought that violently waking sleeping cats was the funniest joke in the world.

My late loving wife’s cats are like that. They sleep for what seems like 23 hours and are only active for 5 minute intervals and most of that is when I am trying to sleep. They are Oriental Shorthair cats and my loving wife wanted them because they are very vocal and I can attest to that fact too, while attempting to sleep.

The survival stealth skills kicks into Hobbes once in a while. Calvin should use Hobbe’s skill to cow down that school bully.
