I’m imagining Rat drinking decaf by mistake, and then melting like the Wicked Witch.

He’s been dead for years. Only caffeine is keeping his body moving.

Rat has 80+% caffeine and another 85% alcohol.

Hard to believe that his blood is only 18% alcohol.

maybe his blood was coffee brown instead of red…

Too bad ‘sarcasm’ doesn’t have a liquid form.

45% alcohol, 45% caffeine, 10% miscellaneous.

He should have studied for his blood test!

I would have thought that Rat’s blood content was more beer than coffee. And anyway, Wally from “Dilbert” should have more coffee flowing through his veins than all other cartoon characters combined.

Doc’s name is DUNKIN’.

Now we know why Rat is so edgy.

Most vets would tell Rat to stop eating caffeine or else he’ll perish.

Caffeine is what has kept Rat alive way past a rat’s usual lifespan.

I decided to get off the caffeine roller coaster years ago and started driniking decaf. Funny thing after a while your just as addicted to the small amount of caffeine in the decaf

They can, but only if they look for the right things and interpret the results based on logic instead of wishful thinking.

I have an appointment for A1C and related testing on Wednesday. I wonder if I should give this cartoon to the nurse before or after she draws the blood.

Mine was higher, but then they cut the amount of caffeine in Diet Sunkist by more’n half!

What Goat says is true. A “physical exam” these days is a thimble of blood which yields 25 or 35 sources of information about organ function and the rest. Pretty amazing. I’m not sure if they absolutely have to listen to your lungs, as well, or maybe that’s just to reassure the patient that the doctor is actually doing something.

That only leaves 18% for alcohol.

Well, I know the FDA allows rodent poop in peanut butter, but it’s impossible to separate it from ground coffee.

It seem like a lot of different comic strips have been on a caffeine addiction kick, lately. Maybe an effort to avoid controversy ?

Seems likely to me, especially with all the Starbucks and the places that were once good as something else that have to imitate Starbucks while forgetting what they are.

Considering caffeine only dissolves at about 4 grams per cup, it seems he’s off by a couple decimal points. Plus caffeine goes directly from solid to gas when not dissolved.

I myself would be concerned by such a low level.

Still, 82% caffeine in your veins is pretty impressive, Rat. And it explains a lot about your personality….

Right now I have too much blood in my alcohol stream.
