I think this is part of Sophie’s script. Beatrix plays the foil to Elvis but then someone like Tommy or Burt will side with Elvis to even things up. I am sure it is all going to plan! Question is, who gets to destroy that annoying bell? Does this turn into a “Battle Royale” with every cat for him/herself????

Sophititi: Ever since Bea and the Bees discovered the Hidden Library, there have been some exciting new techniques in the arts. Not to mention the art of cooking.

Sophititi: I’m planning to do a random pattern to make a crazy quilt for Lupinium.

Maat-Tilda: That seems fitting.

Iron Glove: How did Queen Catshepsut like the Royal Robe you created?

Maat-Tilda: She loved it. She’s planning to wear it at the upcoming Triple Crown races.

Iron Glove: I hear Avenger is planning to enter.

Sophititi: That’s right. The Bowler Derby is coming up in less than two weeks.*

Maat-Tilda: I can’t wait to have one of their famous Catnip Juleps.

Beatrix is irrepressible! I know she grabbed his tail for some wrestling reason (even though she’s an announcer), but to me it just brings to mind her grabbing for his tail when they first met. I’d like to believe she can’t repress this playful urge, even at so critical a moment.

In 25 Apr comic, Beatrix has possession of the bell and says, “First one to ring the bell, gets the bell.”

I believe that she has ALREADY REMOVED the clacker, so it will NOT ring.

She wants Lupin to win ‘cause he really wants to wear it—and he cannot hear that it isn’t ringing and annoying anyone.

Elvis just wants to make the noise stop!

Ya know- every time I have to say goodbye to one of my cat friends, i mourn that their lives are so short, and try to console myself by saying that if their lives were longer, we wouldnt be able to help as many. Ill go cry now.
