Well, the inevitable has finally happened — ZAP! Mysta can “live a little” just fine without you, Vera Alldid!

We knew it was only a matter of time.

Vera is such a creep. Nice going, Mysta, he deserved worse!

I think this one will hurt and not the good kind. I wont be surprised if he goes to the ER for burns treatment, if he doesn’t then the zapping was over dramatized fluff, for WoW factor.

Wow! There are so many ways this story can go. Will Mysta be arrested for assault? Will she claim self-defense? Will she sue Alldid? And how will the collector get involved? There’s a lot of potential here. Let’s hope they don’t squander it.

And yet another chapter in the never ending story of “Some Folks Just Gotta Learn The Hard Way” with another chapter starring Vera Alldid.

Oh, and how did y’all like Alldid’s expression in panel 2? Joe and Shelly gave us a truly creepy face. He sure thinks he’s God’s gift to women, doesn’t he?

Does this mean she’s fired?

That’s one way to stop a rapist before he begins.

That will have taken the lead out of his pencil…..

Okay. So Vera’s character is not being reformed. It does not appear that Mike is pairing Mysta and Alldid. (Though, who knows?)

And Mysta once again has to discharge upon him.

Question: Can she kill with her powers? (Don’t see why not)

Is this heading toward a Perry Mason type reveal? (Where the murderer was, in fact, the victim of the boor)

Bottom line: I’ve lost count of the weeks and this is the first action we’ve seen in this arc.

And still no crime. Except, maybe, loss of time.

What we all have been waiting for!!!

Vera was hoping to get Mysta drunk. Instead he got buzzed….

The book signing/promotional tour has come to a shocking if predictable close. Vera has been put in his place once again. Mysta does not suffer fools gladly. The collector, Mr. Archival, does not know or care about such shenanigans. He collects. He has a big poster and a “better idea.”

I knew this was bound to happen. Alldid is simply too stupidly self-absorbed to know when to take no for an answer.

She’s a menace who can’t be trusted in tense situations not to misuse her powers. I pity the fool who cuts in front of her in the Dollar Tree checkout line!

You are, Vera……..YOU. ARE.

Tomorrow I can imagine Vera saying, she sure socked it to me. Or he will look like a crispy critter.

Mystra goes to Tracy who refers her to Liz and Lee. She files a report of Sexual Harassment. Then they send her over to Special Victims Unit.

Just so y’all know… I just posted Chapter Three of “TROUBLE IN PARADISE?” on my Message Board

We have 5 new characters introduced in this chapter and some storyline movement as well.

So, as a result of this rejection, is Vera going to do something awful to “Mars Maid” in his strip that’s going to arouse the ire of Mr. Archival, who will then try to kill Vera to avenge Mysta?

Just so he doesn’t go into cardiac arrest.

Can this be the end of Vera Alldid/Vile Alldone, shock theater fans?

I could hope he was sufficiently toasted that he’d never, ever dare to lay hands on a woman after being told “No!” again. I could hope he spends some time in a hospital and gets to reflect on his criminal behavior. Maybe if Mysta were to file a criminal complaint he could even serve some jail time!

What we seem to have is a fitting climax to Act One. Now, on to further nefarious deeds! LouisWysocki had an interesting idea just a Comment or two above this one that proposes one possible way to tie in Archival….

Just 2 more hours till the Sunday strip. It’ll come up right after Svengoolie, Pacific Time.
