19th century….back when they defeated the Confederacy. Unfortunately after about 1965 and the Voting Rights Act was passed…they morphed back into the Confederacy…and have not done anything good for America since….

It’s scary that our system is founded on the notion that honorable people who care for the well-being of the country will both elect and serve in good faith. I’m afraid this experiment in democracy is coming to an end as we have a large percentage of our citizenry who choose to be willfully ignorant and a republican party that is only too happy to take advantage of that state.

It’s not the suppression, it’s the new state laws allowing their state legislators to throw out votes or “not certify” them.

I can’t believe the Democrats are still pushing this lie. IDs are used everywhere and for everything. And, they expire naturally. Your driver license or passport will expire and can’t be reused unless renewed. The same is true for voting. If you die or move, your right to vote expires. That isn’t voter suppression, it’s the natural cleansing of the polls.

It’s not really the lies that get me. It’s the unspoken truth that is the most frustrating. A lot of things are not really hidden or lied about, they are simply not mentioned and pass us by un-noticed until they trip us up.

Odd how some feel laws preventing cheating are “suppressing” voters. No one has said how any of these laws suppress voting. The ignorance of the Democrat Jim Crow laws of the past in making ridiculous comparison to fair voting laws proposed to day is stunning.

“The Constitution of the United States gives citizens the right to vote” or “Voting is a right, not a privilege”. I hear this all the time, usually from my fellow liberals, and I really wish it were true, but it’s not. It took the 15th, 19th, 24th, and 26th Amendments to extend the franchise to certain GROUPS of people,* and even then it was only to the extent that states allowed voting at all.

The 14th Amendment, touted as extending the vote to all 21-year-old male citizens, didn’t insist on it, only specified that a state’s Congressional representation could be reduced to the extent that it banned them from voting.

The 23rd Amendment, which granted Electoral College votes to the District of Columbia, says nothing about allowing DC residents to vote for the electors; the method of choosing them remains in the hands of Congress (which has SAID that they’d be based on the popular vote but could just as well have said otherwise). And, of course, as America’s last colony, DC has taxation without representation in Congress.

    (to be continued)

Trump provided funding and accelerated the approval and availability of the covid vaccine. Nothing else mattered. We’d be waiting years for fda approval under the idiot Democrats. Brain dead Biden has been hoarding millions of doses in warehouses while the virus runs rampant elsewhere (e.g. Mexico, south America, Africa). Braindead Biden then allows infected to come in his open boarders. I guess Braindead doesn’t realize that hoarding vaccines while it spreads elsewhere leads to mutations that may bite us later. I have to assume that braindead Biden is a racist pig for hoarding medicine and preventing Mexicans, South Americans and Africans from being vaccinated. Typical Democrat stupidity.

just want to point out that science recently established through DNA and genetics, etc., that every man and woman on Earth sprang from one male, that science dubbed Adam, and one woman they likewise named Eve…The Bible has been scientifically verified…all of us are brothers and sisters, like it or not….and of course, long standing geological studies have shown most of the Earth also experienced a Flood in the past….archeological finds have also established that person after person named in the Bible has been named in other sources – even Jesus being referred to in the Babylonian Talmud

And it’s a matter of repeating the “big lie” (shouldn’t need quotes, it is) often enough that it takes on the facade of truth. Saying thee GOP brain trust has been reading their Joseph Goebbels and taking it to heart for decades now is awkward. Implying an comparison or connection to any Nazi invites knee-jerk indignation and offense. I’m not accusing anyone of being a Nazi but embracing any methods that suit.

I think it’s as legitimate to compare as Patton having read Rommel’s book on tactics.
