Elvis, Elvis, Elvis…….you are not taking this well!

’Round about 3 AM, conversation dries up. But then the whispers start. And the mysterious high-pitched hum…

Best to say something, just to fill the gap.

How are the children supposed to stay warm when they’re not under the covers?

Turnabout is fair play, Elvis! (And only half the people are awake.)

When we stayed at my aunt’s house, my mom and I shared a bed. She complained everytime that I walked up and down her back all night.

The people kittens are somersaulting in the bed! The postures and expressions on their faces are delightful but less so to Elvis and Mom and Dad.

Cats and toddlers are interchangeable. I know I keep saying that, but I will stop saying it once BCN stops proving my point, LOL.

It looks as though Elvis woke up as soon as The Girl and The Woman broke contact with him.

Look how cute Lupin is sleeping.

Lupin looks so calm and peaceful when he’s asleep. (Enjoy it while you can, people!)

And this, along with yesterday’s strip, is why my parents had a king sized bed. They’d planned on a queen, but one of Mom’s married-with-two-kids friends told her that if they planned on children, get that king sized bed. Mom would tell that story when Brother and I were young, apparently there were a few times our parents were VERY happy to have enough room for the whole family!

In panel 2 it would be funny if the Woman answered: “Well, no I am not….” You definitely need to watch your back when you accidentally wake up an older Siamese who is comfortably asleep! Elvis definitely looks quite unhappy in panel 3!

I know this feeling. My twin toddlers frequently come running in my bedroom during the night demanding Mommy/Daddy snuggles.

I hope the children aren’t prone to bed-wetting.

I guess Lupin can’t sleep wrapped around The Woman’s arm when The Girl is on her face.

I find it difficult to believe that The Girl’s hair is that beautiful while thrashing around like that

Ah – snuggled all together in the big bed, a delightful sleep was enjoyed by all … for about the first 5 minutes.

I haven’t been able to find it again (go and search on “cat bed”), but years ago I saw online a couple who put a camera over their bed, and took photos throughout the night automatically. Showing them as they turned over, and the 5 or so cats as they came and went, turned and moved around the bed. Interesting!

I see the cats have trained the kids to sleep on the Man’s and Woman’s faces.

Was assigned to sleep with my 3 year old niece on vacation once. Double bed. She slept n the bed and I slept on the floor. Boy did she hog the covers!!!
