Looks like Tracy is going to be able to talk him down without firing a shot. It might be a bit less dramatic, but Wendy would appreciate it.

His spine is as shaky as the rest of him.

For the first time in this whole escapade reason has crept into his thinking.

I give up, too. From the drama of Tess’ shooting the story dropped to comedy. I wouldn’t be surprised if the last strip in the story had him diagnosed with pink eye.

Looks like Shaky is shaking more than usual.

Shaky uses that same, unoriginal adjective which seems common to all drama criminals: “You lousy cops!”

Whoa-wait. That easy? Something doesn’t hold water here!

I guess this is the end of this story.

That’s all it took to make Shaky surrender?? Kind of anticlimactic IMO.

May well change once he gets back on less shaky ground….

Ok so Shaky had finally decided that he does NOT want that Darwin Award he seemed to have been aiming for from the get go.

I had a feeling he would surrender. Didn’t think they would get rid of this villain just yet!!! Don’t know why??? Maybe more story arch for this guy and Edison!!!

Either the current team makes decent stories or they pass the ball or let bygones be bygones. I’m tired of seeing lame plots, rushed endings, recycled villains and endless crossovers.

2-DT: STOP THAT JAY! LOOK HOW YOU’RE SCARING SAM! SAM: Huh?

3-JAY: Time for a change of tactics: You got the wrong man Tracy. I was no where near your wife that day I shot her! I’M INNOCENT AS A NEWBORN…

4-DT: I got ten bucks says you can’t make him fall off there.

5-JAY: WHOA! THAT DOES IT TRACY! TAKE THIS: Click. AND THIS: Click. Hmmm. BRING ME DOWN TRACY! I NEED TO RELOAD!

DT: SURE. WHADAYA GOT THERE? A 9MM?

JAY: I DUNNO. WHATEVER THEY TOOK OUTTA YOUR WIFE. Oops.

This does sort of remind me of Tracy’s no-nonsense approach to defiant criminals in the past. Two examples:

Shoulders was up on a ladder, attempting to reach a gun he had hidden in a decorative pot hanging near the ceiling. Tracy ordered him to come down. Shoulders kept fishing for the gun. Tracy kicked the ladder out from under him, and Shoulders shot himself as he fell.

Brush was running from the cops in a stolen laundry van along a country road. Tracy and Sam were in a police helicopter. They used the mega-phone to order him to stop. He didn’t, so Tracy had the pilot maneuver above him, they dropped a cable and hooked him on the rear bumper, and Tracy had the pilot flip the van on its side. That was enough for Brush – he surrendered meekly at that point.

A couple of days ago, it came up here that they couldn’t just shake the beam until Shaky fell off, but Tracy threatened to do just that today, and it looks like Shaky has decided to quit.

“‘Shake me off!’ Are you mocking my disability?!”

Let’s back up a minute, and ask WHY there’s a tree and a flag on this girder…

Oooh DT be careful! That’s not very professional, Keep your personal emotions in check and make it look like it was him that did it to himself.

So they stopped Shaky by shaking him.

I rule that this qualifies as irony. Considering the I-beam he’s on, steely irony.

Where is Shaky shooting? Gun aimed straight ahead. Is it a bird? Is it a Plane, No it’s…oops wrong strip. Shaky’s “Uncle” would never give up that quickly. Ken in Ohio..big difference..Shoulders’ story was good.

Isn’t it illegal for the cops to try and kill Shaky?

this was one of the endings but I had hoped that shaky would die, like most DT villains, by killing himself

Shaky’s afraid of being shaken? Odd.

I ‘ll hate to see the Shaky episodes end,…he’s a cool villain , sort of like Flat Top & Wormy.

Shaky is (I believe) right-handed. He hangs on to the anchor-cable with his right hand and/or arm. He was shot through his left arm. He holds and fires his pistol one-handedly with his left hand, nearly hitting Sam with a lucky shot. He blusters mightily, until Tracy orders the crane operator to shake Shaky, which Shaky can’t stand (rather literally). Shaky at once capitulates, looking rather quesy in the last panel.

Punk!

With a week until the MinitMystery we have some time to cuff Shaky (unless he does something rash); maybe track down the comely and delectable, attractive, sly, and proud Edison Lighthouse, accomplice and sometime-paramour to Shaky; maybe even witness some of the topping-off ceremony; and rhubarb-rhubarb-barbara-buzz-buzz about the case, such as it was, around the MCU squad room.

So what did he think would happen if he actually shot Tracy? The other cops would just give up and let him go? For a career criminal (who apparently specializes in blackmail), Shakey 2.0 is horrible at thinking things through.
