From an ad for one brand. Some are wrap around covering headlights and fenders. “PIT Bars are made of heavy-duty 7-gauge steel horizontal bars and feature (2) 2-3/4-inch wide rubber strips with plastic end caps for a clean finished look. PBX Series PIT Bars are designed to bolt directly to a PBX Series push bumper for the best PIT maneuver possible.”

Part time last 8 years after retiring full time, as a night shift weekends and holidays security guard at a Naval Air Base. Very quiet and had the place mostly to myself.

I think in their location, maybe hungry gators?

I disagree. That is one of the main uses and purpose of the bumper if you read their purpose. They also help protect the front fender.

Google “heavy duty push bumper”. It shows photos.

Doesn’t necessarily damage the Police car. Many now have the extra front reinforced bumper installed for just the purpose of doing a pit maneuver.

Like I said earlier, doesn’t do any good if the car is stolen. The cops will only know who it was stolen from.

I had an aunt that did exactly that. She would laugh when I asked her who she was saving it for.

What good is a photo if it is stolen? Act now!

Yes. Like a VERY SLOW text message.
