I think Janis forgot her age with that leap.

Arlo’s got a crankcase, and a case of the cranks.

Youtube is where the problem started… I bet Arlo is going to search clean-up videos…

This is why you have a phone or tablet at the repair site. A little GoJo and a rag to clean the fingers and away you go.

Dawn Dish Detergent works better than any hand cleaner.

I used to work in a plant in Alabama. One day one of the guys came up to me complaining about “Women.” I asked “Billy Joe, what did you do?” He said “You know how I’ve been rebuilding the engine on my car? Well I put the pistons and camshafts in the dishwasher to clean them, and now the wife wants me to buy her a new dishwasher.” I replied “Billy Joe, you and the missus can fight about this for weeks, but you are going to buy her a new dishwasher in the end. Save yourself a lot of heartache, buy it for her now.”

I can’t even PRETEND to understand engine mechanics that well to tackle something myself. I’d rather pay a professional, sit in the waiting room eating complementary cookies and hope nobody wants to watch Fox News on the TV.

I think you are missing the joke. Janis is freaked out thinking that Arlo’s grease-covered innards are coming out due to an auto repair accident (hence her putting her hand on his neck to check for a pulse.)

35 years in the trades, and any dish soap is good if used with the no water for 1/2 minute method…. I my opinion, the best store bought hand cleaner is Fast Orange. A pump size for the shop, and small tubes for each vehicle….. I do not wast time or money on go-joe… YMMV…

I remember back when you could work on your own car, doing the simple things, points, plugs, rotors, change the oil, put on snow tires. Now I can’t even find the battery. I think it’s under the passenger seat or in the trunk.
