Looks like the end result of way to much sugar bomb cereal …

It’s gravity, Mom!

Remember when he couldn’t do his homework because his parents didn’t pay the gravity bill?

It’s gravity Mom, but not as we know it…..

Calvin needs to develop Gravitas.

His mother doesn’t realize the anti-gravity of the situation.

Calvin, you forgot to put your gravity boots on again. Spaceman Spiff would never let this happen.

I’ll take what he’s having.

Yay! I love when the gravity goes out!

I wonder that color the sky is in Calvin’s world.

And why does this always happen when there’s homework to be done, huh Calvin?!

What?

“…gravity fails and negativity won’t pull you thru…”.

I hate when that happens!

Homework has its own pleasures and (more common) pains.

So far, no one has commented on Mom’s command to Calvin. “Calvin, quit banging around!” She uses the exact words at the end of the week. The story arc continues for two more weeks afterwards.

I was just thinking of this arc. Maybe on some level, I remembered it was next.

Calvin’s discovered the opposite of gravity: levity.

Oh! The start of another fantasy excuse…..

Let’s not forget these are “reruns”… and let’s not spoil the story arc for first-time readers. ; )

Calvin can’t help when mother gravity is changing direction!

Hobbes should be slamming into the cieling too, if it’s a gravity problem. And if Hobbes doesn’t slam into the cieling, he should be doing Calvin’s homework while Calvin is indisposed.

Wow, if he can leap that high Calvin should try out for the Olympics! Or this is all happening in his head in another one of his psychotic episodes.

The bed is sucking up all of the surrounding gravity so it can hold him before he goes to school.

Calvin will imagine ANYTHING to get out of doing school work.

I always hate it when gravity gives out.

Nah … Calvin has suddenly become light headed. It also results in his bouncing off the walls.

Calvin: Willy Wonka warned you not to sample anything in the “Fizzy Lifting Drinks” research room!

OOF, I’m late but don’t blame Calvin mom…

Calvin discovers the hazards of getting high…

Aww geez! Don’t you hate it when the house does one of those negative-G maneuvers!

I guess Lionel Ritchie can’t sue because it’s not actually dancing on the ceiling.
