The Capo’s “BRAIN”? I know political cartoons are meant to present political opinions trenchantly and symbolically, but linking “brain” to the Capo-in-Chief crosses from reality, utterly bypasses fiction, and goes directly through out-and-out Disneyesque fantasy before coming to an unsettling rest in grotesque and absurd surrealism.
That we allow a person as damaged as the resident to hold office tells us that our requirements to hold office are inadequate. That there are people damaged enough in Congress to support the resident tells us again that our requirements to hold office are inadequate. (“Of sound mind,” with non-ambiguous metrics would be a welcome addition to the requirements.)
Our Constitution and most establishment religions speak of support and inclusion yet our evangelicals and some politicians speak of self-help (withdrawing support) and exclusion. We seem to have some very damaged distorted views in portions of our society and we know that the children of overbearing authoritarians often become overbearing authoritarians themselves. We need to break the cycle and rescue and nurture the ignored unloved damaged portions of our society or we will have more “leaders” like the resident and inhumanity, cruelty and indifference will continue to perpetuate.
This is psychopathy in full bloom, folks. When a psychopathic malignant narcissist cult leader is challenged, that very challenge addresses and irritates the core itself of the mental illness. The projection will get worse. All trump’s slimy, nasty insecurities and anxieties will be falsely identified with others in a vain attempt to soothe his tortured soul. He truly believes others are as sick as he himself is. And he thinks that’s the state of being for everyone else in the world.
The false equivalencies will pile up one after the other as the psychopath lashes out to protect his fragile narcissistic ego. Meanwhile, the cult followers will become increasingly desperate that the object of their belief and devotion is under attack. It eats away at their sense of self.
Primitive minds consider beliefs sacred. Higher minds seek truth. Psychopaths have no choice in the matter but to obey their primitive minds. Those primitive impulses are driven ceaselessly by an engorged amygdala, feeding toxic signals to an overactive hypothalamus. The cult followers are unable to resist. THEIR anxieties and beliefs are all wrapped up in those of their psychopathic cult leader. Any challenge to the cult leader is interpreted as a challenge to their core self image.
A thousand years from now, if there’s still a planet left, historians will look back upon this era and chalk up as the resident’s greatest accomplishment (possibly his ONLY accomplishment) that he got the TV networks to finally put the word “BULLSHIT” up on their screens during kiddie time.
Easy to solve a maze like that. Put bait in one end, and drop a rodent in the other, and watch its path. Obviously, for a case like this, an outhouse rat and a roll of bills should fit the bill.

{Not quite on-topic re the ’toon:}
“A Stable Genius” [he says of himself] – {a rhyme}
Genus: “fermum genium” {a “stable genius”}.
Species: “verus uindicatam” {“unstably spleenius”}.
{“he vents his spleen.”}
In anger Trump will yack in attack
and obfuscate his detractors’ flak.
For countering with bull he’s quite a knack.
To the swamp can Congress throw him back?
… Coda:
Trump has made up a fable
that he is: 1] a genius, and 2] stable.

Unlikely. Frontal cortex is way too highly developed as illustrated. All trump has is a hypertrophic brainstem, useful only for fear and aggression.

Of course, if it was printed actual size, it would fit on a postage stamp with room left to include an analysis, footnotes and definitions.
