From what I can tell, people are so proud of being “politically IN-correct,” what Stephan describes above doesn’t ring a bell at all.

All the “political correctness” crowd was trying to do was get people to be more polite to each other.

Oh! I forgot! The rage to day is to be as outrageous as possible, to insult as many people as possible!

Somewhere along the way, we forgot the admonition of the Bible, Book of Mormon, and many other religious books: PRIDE IS ALWAYS A SIN.

This comic landed in the 4th or 5th frame for me.

Reading between the lines, I’m guessing Pastis failed to get anyone to look at his latest manuscript.

Not sure what Cheapskate0 is complaining about but yes, political correctness is about trying to control what people say and think.

I expected the next-to-last panel to be followed by the woman using a large rock on World.

Looks like the earth is still ticked off about that other planet traffic accident about 6-billion years ago and it could not find a lawyer that would take the matter to court. And after, all day and night it just gets mooned.

Personally, I enjoy a good rock-throwing.

I find the irony is that those who scream “intolerant” the loudest are usually intolerant of other views besides their own.

I heard the politically correct message as “treat other people the way you would want to be treated.” Doesn’t seem particularly hard—you just have to acknowledge that other people are, you know, people.

I’m not seeing much correctness in our current politics.

Pastis does a lot of comics making fun of the right, and a lot making fun of the left. No one has a right to be upset with him because he’s the ultimate neutral offender.

Someone once said that if we got rid of every book that offended someone, then all we’d be left with is T.V. Guide.

The pendulum swingeth, from one extreme to the other. First people are inexcusably “politically incorrect”, so some people complain. Others become fanatical complainers all too ready to take offense at everything said. That goes on for a while until people start realizing that those trying to force their umbrage on society are equally annoying, and we wind up with comics making fun of excessive insistence on being “politically correct”.
