Politicians need to be “effective” not “cute” or “popular”! Pelosi has been effective and will be effective, again. McConnell, though I “dislike” his actions intensely, has been extremely effective, throughout his career. Just for the record, MOST of what the Right has joyously attributed to the actions of Donald John Trump has ACTUALLY been the result of the machinations of McConnell! McConnell is effective – the nicest thing that can be said about Trump is that he is an inept, ineffective buffoon.
I have really and truly loved Bloom County and Outland for years. A part of my daily routine that brings me happiness. Right now, however, the political scene is so highly charged and ridiculous that irony needs little or know creative enhancement…. or something like that…
