I don’t use auto correct, just get squiggly red lines. Sometimes I think I should find out how to turn on the little green squiggly lines on my word processor but never seem to get around to it. The grammar check sometimes avoid the other kind of spell check errors where you think you are OK because there are no red lines. But at least your auto correct let you say damn.

If you have a problem with a road, you contact the person hired by your local government to oversee fixing roads. It’s not your representatives job. You really don’t understand government do you? It’s in everyone’s interest that all the roads are well maintained. Not understanding that is what is wrong with America.

November 8, 2016; a day that will live in infamy along with November 7, 2000. We will never know what we could have achieved.

About your comment in general I refer you to that at the top of this “branch” by pschearer. But as far as my post. Georgia has 14 representative in the House. All would be elected “at large”. In your State House of Representative all would be elected at large. The idea that you are better served by having “my representative” is a myth left over from the 18th Century. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to “get there from here”.

Proportional representation works better. Understand that democratic republic doesn’t function without political parties and we are no longer living in the 1780’s All representatives from a state are selected in one election not districts. Each party selects a list of candidates for the state and representatives are selected in proportion to the number of votes the party gets. In theory, if Republicans get 30% of votes in a state they get 30% of representatives. Greens get 12% of votes they get 12%. Democrats get 32% of vote they get 32% etc. In practice the numbers have to be adjusted up a little because any party getting less than 5% gets no representatives. It reduces the popularity contest nature of elections and would end the strict two party rule. If one party in congress does not have a majority they would need the support of one or more smaller parties.
