Rohrabacher (and the White House) can argue they were only interested in true evidence… whether that’s the case or not. That leaves the clear fact that Assange couldn’t provide any evidence useful to Trump. I’m sure he would have even lied if he thought it would have “stuck”.

In general I agree about “feeding trolls”. In this case the post was easy to answer and I don’t think the poster is a troll, just thoroughly indoctrinated on this subject… actually believes what he/she is posting, but doesn’t seem to get into long circular arguments.

There’s a coincidence. I grew up in suburbs west of Chicago. We moved there just before they closed down the old electric passenger line, around 1959… can’t remember the name. The Chicago Northwestern still runs through there though. In 1968 I spent the summer working for the CTA as a replacement conductor. Interesting summer, but I left to go back to college before the Democratic convention. Memories… I could write a book about that summer, would just have to make up some parts with women in them.

By the way, I meant to write, “… skills and support to get the nomination is not always the person who can win the general election.”

Walking a few blocks at either end of such a trip does keep me healthier. So does riding a bike a lot of the time. I’m over seventy and the weather here is not always perfect. I’ve done a lot of driving in my life but mostly been happier when I could avoid it.

Add electric cables over those special roads and you’re describing the German rail system (most lines). In the city the buses run every five to ten minutes and some of them are electric. In Berlin there are two urban train systems as well as street cars and fairies (one ticket works for all of them, but in my opinion should be more heavily subsidized by the government). Some of the fairies are solar powered electric. Bicycle lanes help too, though this is all still a work in progress.

Maybe it was just a good guess.
