You know what I’d like to see during this Arc?

Prudence, talking Le$ into reaching out to his mother instead of HATING her. I mean he got his revenge on Ann by using that list as “leverage,” and has had his debt with her wiped clean. Nothing is gonna change what’s happened between them in the past so why not forget it and move forward, eh?

Besides, Le$ pretending to make nice with Ann, may cause her to drop her guard and reveal a weakness that could help to split Ann and Tom up. (Hint, Hint, Hint)

And I STILL say that Le$ should introduce himself to Tom, because I guaran-damn-tee that Ann hasn’t told Tom she has a “son,” yet.

Oh, we cannot wait to hear from Tiffany how things are with her father (meaning Tiffany AND her father).

Interesting he doesn’t refer to her as “my mother” but by her first and last names. I assume GnK is using this device to show the distance between them.

I’d be more curious to find out how things are going with Les and Tiffany or Gunther and Tiffany.

Why is Prudence still here again? She planned to start a drama program which failed due to lack of participation, so is her calling now to deal with the drama at work?

I like that Les and Pru were able to maintain their friendship even after Les mistakenly tried to woo Pru. Les needs a true friend or two.

If Les approaches Ann, then she believes the non-interference /no contact agreement is no longer in effect. That would not be a good development now.

So is Pru actually getting paid yet, or is she still waitressing for free while also paying rent to the people benefiting from her free labor? She must’ve had quite the nest egg saved up to afford that. And what about Mr Gray? He also offered the Degroots his services free of pay, on the condition that they hire Les. Is he still putting in the hours for zero compensation?

I know that is totally naive. But Pru is so sweet in trying to make grow a connection between Les and his mother♥.

If Pru(ne) doesn’t get that things aren’t good by simply listening to what Les is saying, she’ll never get it. She’s not only gullible, She’s also tone deaf! When are Nancy and Frank going to discover that Pru(ne) let Anne Awful use the Fuse for free? I guess it will happen the day the dorm’s stolen TV set is found.

Very few comic characters are genuinely ugly. Most cartoonsts don’t see a point to drawing genuinely ugly characters.

Pru is used to show real concern for Les and for the relationship with his mother. Les obviously, for good reason, wants nothing to do with his mother, who is portrayed as a sociopath, and a grifter. Tiffany is confiding in Les, her friend, about this whole thing, not Gunther by the way. Possibly because they are brought together by circumstances, it’s her father, and his mother after all. So Les and Tiffany are still troubled young adults, with two parents who a selfish and clueless about how their young adult children really are suffering. Pru is a moral arbitrer really in this strip.

All of a sudden Pru has made a reappearance; linking two episodes. Maybe that’s her function now; a transition character.

Remember that she and Les have “history.” Maybe she will be to Les what Luann was to Jack at the dog park.

This seems a bit of a change for Les, that his concern is for someone else’s problems: “How is your mom?” “She’s hurting someone I care for.”

Contrary to a few months or so ago, it looks like a Tiffany/Leslie pair-up is not inevitable as Mordy and at least one other commenter rued. Her regression to form and recent interest in Jack signal our favorite character is back. (I still wish I could say her appearance has reverted to “form.”) Besides there’s still the complicating factor of step-siblings between them. The potential for that should be some off-putting.

A Gunther and Les mashup appears to be the future for those two.

Well, this somewhat makes Knox look good. He appears to care about someone else, because if it were just concerning his bad relationship with his mother, why should he care that she sunk her claws (fangs?) into Mr. Ferrell?

But that this strip largely isn’t about adults post college age (Fogarty and Phelps don’t even appear frequently anymore, nor the DeGroot parents recently), it would be begging for an appearance by this Mr. Farrell. He doesn’t look good, to have neglected Tiffany and allowed her to grow up ignorant and shallow, and now to have taken up with Eiffel.

Les is wound up, thanks to his own mother. The thing Les needs ‘less’ of, is Ann Eiffel. It’s a shame, but I know people who are just like that! And no, I do not think Ann Eiffel will be good for Tom Farrell, not that he’s a great dad and all. ‘Cuz he isn’t – for now.

Hmm. Not sure about a Les arc this week. Is it just a day or two effort to signify transition and we are then back to the MONSTER TRUCK EVENT? Or, will we be in for a longer effort to explore Les and Ann’s relationship? Or, since Pru has suddenly appeared TWICE… perhaps this is a series of efforts to define (redefine?) her role to be that of “empath” or “healer”?

Pru really is a loving and caring person. I know she moved around a lot before coming to live with the DeGroots and running the Fuse for them. I assume she now has the home she was looking for. Makes me wonder about her past.

Sure his mom is a criminal and he should still make nice. Harder for him to keep out crime when your mother wants you involved.

I like Pru, but she needs a new hair stylist. Poor lady looks like someone from a World War 2 poster. Here’s a thought: team Pru up with Tiffany……the girl who likes girls, and the girl that girls don’t like.

Pru is a hottie, and also gay. Where is her Significant Other? Because a looker like Pru wouldn’t be alone. Greg could take this somewhere very interesting; instead, we’re going to get still another Ann Eiffel story arc. C’mon, Greg! Get woke! She’s here, she’s queer, deal with it!
