Really cheap pun – but it works!
I totally agree with you!
He’s cute, he’s popular, he’s a football star. Not everything about Tiffany has changed. She still chases, rather than letting herself BE chased.
Or, who knows, it might be love at first sight between Steffi and Ox!!! THAT would certainly teach everyone at the Cafe a lesson; wouldn’t it!!!!
Because, sadly, many of us ARE those crochety old farts who seem to have forgotten that a smile can go a long way in this world. Please Lord, don’t let me forget!!!!
Might work = or it might cause them to explode. Could go either way.
Talk about “career trajectory”!!!! Have none of you noticed what a solid trajectory Tiffany is standing on – and she did it with no training from anyone? She went into the job with basically NO skills at all and because she opened herself up to observing (Bernice, take note here please) and applying what she saw, she has become a good waitress who knows how to “read” her customers, Hence, her customer fan base has grown and so have her tips! She did not shy away from growing up in her job. Sure, there are times when the “old” Tiffany shows up – but she is STILL a creature formed by her background and life change is a process, not an event! Tiffany is becoming a fine, smart young woman who is facing the world one smile at a time.
Didn’t Ricky Nelson sing about that exact same thing? “Well, it’s alright now. I learned my lesson well. Ya can’t please everyone, so, ya gotta please yourself.”
Like Jumbo Shrimp?
Beautifully and perfectly said. Thank you for your words.
