Unfortunate new’s Aaron has taken seriously ill and due an extremely weakened condition will be unable to complete tomorrows strip so there will be no friday this week .He will be getting some sort of diagnosis later today however as of this time Endtown will be going on an unfortunate and indefinite hiatus.I will post more when we learn what is going on, but as of right now he’s to sick to even type up this announcment and and asked me to go ahead and do so.Thank you all for your support and consideration!
Aaron mentioned he was going to go on hiatus pretty soon because of his health, but it seems that it came on a lot faster than he planned. I just hope he gets better. I’d rather he takes the time he needs to recover than push himself and end up not being able to continue at all.
To many of us, he is far more than just a great artist and storyteller. He is a friend.
I love this comic strip and while I’ll miss getting my friday fix, your health is way more important. Please get better and take care of yourself Aaron.

Due to a health problem last year, I can no longer stand on my feet 14 hours a day. Now I only work 30 hours a week and by Thursday my feet are killing me from standing. I want to work more hours and I feel like I’m cheating the company by not being able to be there as much as I am needed to be.My new employers are much more flexible in an industry that chews you up and spits you out when you are used up.

And whether Sarah was finally going to do something for her friends..As long as the strip is going down for a while, will the comments stream continue? I have so many questions, just joining this strip a week or so ago, trying to figure out what it’s all about, as well as what’s going on..This much I get: Everyone in this strip used to be a human. Some strange disease has hit the human race and the only survival seems to be mutating into an animal..That said, what are the rules for mutating? How is the animal chosen that you will become? Many comments recently suggested Sarah became a lizard because she is so cold-blooded. Okay, then, why is Wally a cat? Why is Jim a raccoon? (If I got the names mixed up, it won’t be the first time – still trying to figure out who had a rhinoceros for a wife!)
Something tells me that these lizards don’t encounter surfacers, or they might not be so “kind” with Sarah, considering her outfit and all. (Of course they are kind of far out.)Also: Hopefully Aaron recovers soon, best of luck.

Here’s hoping to a speedy and SAFE recovery for Aaron. I’ve swapped emails with him in the past and he’s a genuinely good guy blessed with tremendous and diverse creativity (as his “Electromatic Radio” series attests). I’ve become a real “Endtown” fan since I read a recommendation on another GC strip two years ago and bought the first storyboard for this strip shortly after going through the archives to catch up. To me, it’s the most engrossing strip on this website and the storyboard is a prized possession.
Having said that, the most important thing in our lives is not our gifts but our health. Aaron, take all the time you need and take care of yourself first…We’ll be here when you get back. I’ve got another screen open to the Endtown website and I’ll send a few shekels your way because I’m sure you’ve heard the rumor that medical treatment ain’t cheap.

okay, she’s STILL wearing a topsider uniform, these guys should know that she only recently mutated and the raccoon guy wearing the same outfit would suggest he mutated with her. Now they have no way of knowing they made this decision because she was dying of cancer and he cared enough about her to go through the process with her, but these lizard people can’t possibly be so deluded to think that she’d abandon her companion just to hang out with a bunch of weirdos who happened to mutate into the same animal type as her.
Of course, this colony could be one of the extreme outcomes that endtown might be facing, what with the rabbit guy wanting to be president and advocating that people no longer self identify as humans, but rather the animal type they mutated into. The natural progression would be wanting to hang out with “their own kind,” identifying others as less than themselves, competition for resources, and ultimately threats to be eliminated. This colony might have been more diverse at one point, but the lizard people either exiled or killed off the others, the little bird guy being an exception because he might be related to an authority figure.
I’ve become so engrossed in Endtown and its denizens that it’s come as a real shock to hear of Mr. Neathery’s illness. Do so hope he’ll be fit and well and back to his drawing board in no time. This is truly upsetting.

Do you have any idea Houston gets in the Summer? And air conditioning units and electricity can cost some coin. I live two hours almost due east of Houston, and our summers are brutal. We also don’t have very many giant steel, iron and concrete structures trapping daylight heat and blocking the breeze.
