One of my friend’s barn cats snuck into her home when it decided it preferred central air to the outdoors. She let him stay.

Calvin complains as his clothes are soaking wet with sweat. Tigers don’t sweat. Instead they relax in the shade during the heat of the day. Tigers are also one of the big cats that like water and enjoy playing in it to cool off.

You’re even hotter from that burn.

Calvin can dish it out, but he can’t take it.

Actually the fur insulates against the heat… as well as keeps them warmer in the cold…

Hobbes is right, humans would be better looking with fur, especially when we get old and fat

Cats, despite being furry, evolved in the desert, and can be comfortable at 120 degrees. Fur is amazing insulation in both directions.

L. Sprague De Camp wrote a funny short story called “Hyperpilosity” about an epidemic that caused all humans to grow a lush coat of fur. Many social changes happened as a result.
