    So… what’s in Piro’s note to Bernice??

Looks like we won’t have to be concerned about Luann hurting Piro. He’s clearly not interested in her. I wonder if Bernice will start feeling something for Piro again, when she learns Luann is hot for him.

    .

Will Luann steam the letter open, and read it first, before giving it to Bernice?? LOL

Could be a love letter to Bernice or just some money in payment for letting him crash in her room. The latter seems like least interesting but most responsible thing he could do. And after all, he trying to start a new life, and that often calls for restitution for past misdeeds. On the other hand a billy-do (pardon my french) wou;d disturb Bernice’s mellow enjoyment of Nil’s platonic musehood. Bernice all a bothered would make a good twist to this story. But Gren always Always picks the lesser or two dramatic choices.

AHA! The fabled “Letter to Bernice.” We’ve all been anticipating it and were concerned that it would never see the light of day. Was Luann expecting a fair shot at conversing with Piro in the guise of a Writing 101 excuse?

Will Luann give the letter to Bernice? Will she try to read it first? Will she try to look over Bernice’s shoulder while Bern reads it? Will what it says influence her life forever! Tune in next week kids.

    Well.

Walt’s letter to Bern might explain his current lack of interest in Luann.

But, things have changed “romantically” in Bernice’s little world.

    Or have they?

IF, Walt’s letter jump-starts any “romantic interest” from Bernice, I’m just wondering if Tara will also tell Bernice to “back off” the same way she just did Luann?

    Because if Tara doesn’t………,

Well, I called it. Piro is not even remotely interested in Luann. He just wants to get in touch with Bernice and Luann is merely a vehicle. The question is whether Luann got the message that he is not interested in her? Right now she is dumbfounded but then she might talk herself into twisting Piro’s intentions when giving her the note intended for Bernice. And Luann, DO NOT OPEN IT.

Ah hah! Knew there might be conflict between Luann and Bernice over their respective interest in, attention to, and conversely his relative interest in either, suspecting that his interest is with Bern; surprising way to introduce the concept with a sealed letter meant for Bern. Oh, mystery of mysteries! aromantic pot boiler indeed. Nice punch line delivered by Tara in panel 3.

Luann in the first panel seems like the Luann of middle or high school in the way she speaks. But then, Piro dragged her back to her current age. This is interesting considering that a similar thing happened to Tiffany. A situation make her regressed to how she was before until she was brought back to reality by Bets. Maybe these moments of regressions precede major changes? Glad to see Piro wrote the message for Bernice, hope Bernice shares it with Luann.

In this day and age of e-mail and texting, a hand written note in a sealed envelope stands out. All this says two things about Piro; he’s trusting (that Luann will deliver as requested) and that he likes to communicate in traditional ways.

I don’t see this going anywhere, unless G&K will it so. Bernice lost her interest in Piro years ago after kissing him; no spark. And, given that she is in a convenient non-relationship with Nil, I doubt she will entertain Piro.

Piro must be damaged goods, because he sure has been rude and dismissive to both Tara and Luann in turn. Tara has been a total bee itch in, first, shanghaiing Piro’s tray to get him to talk with her and, second, in manipulating Luann into this feeling of being in conflict with Bernice when Bernice doesn’t even know Piro has returned!

The “what just happened” look on Luann’s face in the third panel reflects this pretty well!

Why can’t Piro deliver the message to Bern? If he’s looking to get his life on track, make amends, whatever, then he needs to face Bern and not hide behind a letter. A letter he isn’t even delivering. Luann, you need better judgement and better friends. Where’s Jack when you need him?
