Mother Nature is even tougher than your Mom.

As if any mom wouldn’t stand a chance against all this.

At least he stayed outside as long as he pleased.

That was as long as he pleased. It was longer than I would have pleased.

If only he can figure out how to throw snowballs at mother nature.

Proper motivation.

At least Calvin gave up, went home, and didn’t conscript an unwilling Suzy Derkins.

Mom just turns the outdoor thermostat down when it’s time for Calvin to come in.

Cold fingers beckoned him,

To return to the house of sin,

He went in.

You’re not TOUGH, until you’ve lost a toe or two to frostbite.

It’s -9C (15.8F) outside here in Reykjavík. You can’t really make snowballs at that temperature, so it must be warmer for Calvin. He needs to come to Iceland to build character.

So he abandoned “security” for comfort, huh?

Now what’s that you were saying????

Outside, in the cold, being cold with nobody to chunk snowballs at, or inside, in the warmth, being warm, reading or watching tv, possibly with hot chocolate…I opt not to be cold.

Oooo! I remember the “fort” and the “igloo” days!

We had such great times when we were kids! The neighborhood kids would always do things together…kick the can, build a clubhouse, baseball games, snowball fights, etc.Even ice skate in the pond‼️

Memories..in the corner of my mind‼️☺️☺️☺️☺️

Wise choice grasshopper.

And by the time he comes back out, the snowballs will have all frozen together.

Even warmongers have to take a break now and then

Better hope that those snowballs don’t melt, Calvin. You’ll be defenseless.

Calvin has been reading Invictus by William Ernest Henley again.

Yep… History proves it. Just ask Napoleon and Hitler when they invaded Russia. The Winter killed more soldiers than the Russian troops did.

Calvin has the patience to make 200 snowballs but not enough to stay out against the cold.

I used to build igloos. Not as warm as a house, but relatively comfortable.

Mom is not eager to have Calvin back inside, ever.

How cold, Calvin? 30F?

So he came inside (where it is presumably warmer)… but can still see his breath?

I notice Hobbs wasn’t outside with Calvin. Probably snuggled in front of a warm fire where a tiger should be.

I bet a plate of fresh baked cookies could make you come inside, Calvin.

If only it snowed in the summertime.

Mothers are always smarter than the young ones.
