Is Hobbs looking at us in the last panel, perhaps sharing the joke of Calvin in curls?

I was thinking it’s sort of a mohawk, but really it looks like a less-hawk, really.

I can sympathize. I’m having a bad hair life.

When my youngest was in high school, he went through a period where he would cut his own hair (pretty randomly); at night he’d shower & shampoo – then put gel on it & go to bed. Wake up & viola! His look was complete.

Good ol’ Hobbes… always the optimist.

The open-air panels are unusual.

Maybe he could dye it purple and go to a Sex Pistols tribute band concert.

He has the look down, now he just needs a guitar

I remember this childhood problem. It took me a couple of years to realize my hair would bow to the comb’s guidance only after a liberal application of water.

When I get bedhead it’s time to cut my hair.

Why would he want a moose in his hair?

I like the one where he fixes up his hair to make himself look like Astro Boy. ;-p
