Depending on the cookie i like nuts in them. Whenever i whip up a batch of Nestle® Toll House Cookies. I always make them with chopped pecans.

First time I’ve seen Nelson with a grumpy look on his face…

oh, you’re quite compassionate, Earl, in order to cheer up your grandson… where else is Nelson supposed to mope (anywhere but your chair, yes, but seriously)?

Don’t sweat the small stuff, so goes the saying. I hate nuts in fruitcake, cookies, or any other baked goods. I don’t pout over stuff like this. I simply will not eat them. As for Nelson I would lend a listening ear with great empathy. I totally get where he’s coming from on this matter.

I think the saying was “don’t eat nutty things”.

The only thing worse than nuts in an otherwise tasty cookie are raisons.

One of my absolute favorite cookies is Pecan Sandies the way my mother did them: Hardly any flour, mostly ground nuts, butter and a little sugar. Yumm!

I add raisins to my pies; and raisins and nuts in my fudge. But for certain relatives, I need to make them plain.

And go get me a couple of cookies.

I like both in cookies. I also like Raisin Bran cereal, and raisin cinnamon bagels. Am I strange or what? Don’t answer ! lol

I like nuts. I like cookies. Nuts in cookies??? NOOOOOOOO! As for raisins – what a waste of grapes that could be used to make wine. ;)

Earl has a sense of timing that is clearly one way…his chair!

I add pecans to soo many things e.g. Baked fish encrusted with pecans, squash casserole, eggplant casserole, chicken salad to name just a few!

I’m with Nelson. I hate nuts in cookies.

I have uttered Earl’s last words many, many times to each of my grandchildren on various occasions … “Get out of my chair.”

Although, usually The Look and a subtle hand gesture will suffice.

Roscoe might object to Earl’s first statement.

Gotta have the nuts. Kid needs Dennis’ corner chair ’til he appreciates Gramma.

That would’ve been me at his age. Now I put nuts in my cookies. :)

Cookies are life, and therefore require nuts, much like Life has its share of nuts.

Actually, an oatmeal raisin cookie with macnut or pecans in it is REALLY great!

For me no chocolate. So I am limited on cookies as most use chocolate chips and nuts. Just the smell I react the next day.

Don’t sweat the petty stuff, and don’t pet the sweaty stuff. Birth and Death are the big stuff, everything in between is the petty stuff.

Do not displace the chocolate unless it is with another chocolate.

Pecan pie is just goo without the nuts.
